Increase the number of Vietnamese people included in the list of the world's most influential scientists.

Elsevier Publishing has just released a ranking of the world's most influential scientists , compiled by a team of scientists from Stanford University (USA), based on the Scopus database.

Among Vietnamese scientists working regularly in the country, nine scientists are ranked in the top 10,000 worldwide , and 60 scientists are ranked in the top 100,000 most influential cited scientists in the world in 2024.

Compared to 2023, this list has increased by 13 people.

Specifically, the 9 scientists ranked in the top 10,000 worldwide in 2024 include: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Prof. Dr. Tran Xuan Bach, Hanoi Medical University; Prof. Vo Xuan Vinh and Dr. Nguyen Phuc Canh, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics; Dr. Tran Nguyen Hai and Dr. Hoang Nhat Duc, Duy Tan University; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan, Dong A University; and Dr. Pham Thai Binh , University of Transport Technology.

Among them, some scientists have consistently ranked highly for many years, such as Associate Professor Dr. Le Hoang Son and Professor Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc from Hanoi National University...
