Speaking at the launch event, journalist Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Children's Health Magazine, said that the Children's Health Magazine was formerly known as the Love and Life Magazine. Since its first issue in September 2003, after 21 years of formation and development, it has gradually fulfilled its mission of promoting and mobilizing charitable hearts to help children with disabilities integrate into the community.
However, in the context of the new situation, especially with the advent of modern journalism technology 4.0, the Magazine requires even more radical innovation to meet the demands of propaganda… Stemming from this context, from the beginning of 2024, the Editorial Board of the Magazine has implemented a project to innovate and rename the Magazine of Compassion and Life to the Magazine of Children's Health.
With the support and assistance of the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children, especially the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications , and other relevant ministries and agencies, on October 6, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications officially issued an operating license for the Children's Health Magazine, offering both print and online formats. This can be considered a significant milestone, marking the magazine's transformation and progress after more than 21 years of establishment and development.

With the message "For children's smiles," Dr. Tran Doan Tien stated: "The important mission and goal of the Journal of Children's Health in the coming time and in the next 10-year development roadmap is to continue to actively contribute to building and critiquing the policies of the Party and the State on caring for and protecting children, especially children with disabilities."
The entire operation of the Magazine will consistently convey a deeply humane communication message – “Children's Health Magazine – For Children's Smiles,” aiming to spread this message to a wide audience, especially children in general and over 4 million children with special circumstances and disadvantaged children, including over 2 million children with disabilities. Therefore, the Magazine will undergo comprehensive and synchronized innovation in both form and content across both print and electronic publications.
A key breakthrough in the magazine's future development roadmap is the priority given to strongly promoting the development of its electronic edition in both Vietnamese and English, featuring modern interfaces, technologies, applications, and utilities such as artificial intelligence (AI), new multi-platform journalistic tools, mobile journalism, and data journalism.

Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Le Quoc Minh congratulated the Magazine, its staff, reporters, editors, and employees: "The launch of the Children's Health Magazine meets the new requirements and demands in information and communication work, especially now that there are more than 2 million children with disabilities and children in special circumstances. These are also the main target audience for the Magazine to effectively fulfill its mission."
Speaking about the current state of domestic journalism, journalist Le Quoc Minh said: "Journalism in the current era has its own unique challenges. Never before have we faced such intense information competition, including competition from social media platforms. However, journalists today have many tools and software to support them, such as AI, ChatGPT, and other equipment to assist in their work. Nevertheless, this also requires journalists to strive even harder."
