"Muay Thai Saint" Buakaw and beauty queens attend the opening ceremony of SEA Games 33

(NLDO) – On the afternoon of December 7, at the 33rd SEA Games Press Center (MPC) in Bangkok (Thailand), the 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee held a meeting to announce information about the opening ceremony.

The event attracted the participation of many senior Thai sports officials, leaders of SEA Games 33 - 2025, and many reporters and media agencies from Southeast Asian countries.

At the press conference, Mr. Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn - Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand - said that this year's opening ceremony was elaborately invested, promising to bring an eye-catching performance with a combination of sound, light, fire and water effects and modern stage technology.

The opening ceremony also featured the appearance of many top Thai artists, famous beauty queens and a special performance by Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek. This is considered a highlight worth waiting for, demonstrating the sporting spirit and cultural identity of the host country.

According to Mr. Attakorn, the Organizing Committee has worked tirelessly to bring the most magnificent opening ceremony, worthy of the milestone of the SEA Games returning to Thailand after 18 years. The main message of the program is "The Flame of Passion" - the unity and will to win of Southeast Asian countries.

The opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games will take place at Rajamangala Stadium, a 37-year-old sports facility with a capacity of over 50,000 seats - which has hosted many major cultural and sporting events in Thailand. Rajamangala is also the venue for two men's football groups, including the group of the Vietnam U22 team, as well as the semi-finals and finals of men's football.
