What do children expect from the program "Mid-Autumn Festival Ancient Citadel

With the desire to provide a healthy playground and contribute to preserving the distinctive cultural values of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the People's Committee of Son Tay Ward is organizing the "Mid-Autumn Festival in the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay, Doai Region" program in 2025, promising to bring children a truly meaningful and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival.

The "Mid-Autumn Festival at the Ancient Citadel - Son Tay in the Doai Region" program was one of the events that had become a unique brand of Son Tay town before its merger.

With years of experience in organizing events, and given the special significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the "Mid-Autumn Festival at Son Tay Ancient Citadel - Doai Region" program in 2025 will be organized by Son Tay ward from September 13th to October 4th (i.e., from July 22nd to August 13th in the lunar calendar).

The program included a series of activities: lion, dragon, and unicorn dance performances; a Mid-Autumn Festival lantern model competition; and a parade modeled after historical figures, folk legends, favorite animals from fairy tales and fables, as well as images considered cultural symbols and characteristic products of each unit...

What are children looking forward to at the — Neighborhood groups are rushing to finalize their models for the competition.

Under the skillful and creative hands of the people, the Mid-Autumn Festival lantern models are not only beautiful in form but also have educational significance, helping children and tourists understand more about national culture, so that every person in Son Tay can be even more proud of the "Mid-Autumn Festival at Ancient Citadel - Son Tay, Doai Region" program.

In addition, children will also participate in experiential activities such as: making star lanterns and revolving lanterns; sculpting clay figurines; making mooncakes; playing folk games; taking photos in Mid-Autumn Festival settings...

The highlight of the event will be the art program "Mid-Autumn Festival Night - Son Tay Ancient Citadel - Doai Land" taking place from 7:30 PM on October 4, 2025 (Saturday, August 13th of the lunar calendar) at the main stage of the Son Tay Ancient Citadel pedestrian street, featuring a parade of lantern models from 57 residential groups, combined with the awarding of prizes for the Mid-Autumn Lantern Model Contest; lion and dragon dance performances, and the giving of gifts to disadvantaged children in the ward.

The Mid-Autumn Festival program also features comedians and various cultural performances, ensuring that young audiences and tourists will have relaxing and humorous moments through the special acts and funny comedic performances.

The "Mid-Autumn Festival at Son Tay Ancient Citadel - Doai Region" program in 2025 will be organized in conjunction with the pedestrian street surrounding the moat of Son Tay Ancient Citadel, aiming to preserve and promote traditional cultural values and restore the beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival of old Hanoi; creating a cultural space and tourist destination for the people of Son Tay and surrounding areas.
