On the morning of January 23rd, at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment 's citizen reception office, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa chaired the regular monthly citizen reception session for November 2024. Also in attendance were the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Le Vu Tuan Anh; leaders from the Land Department, the Legal Department, the Department of Land Planning and Development, the Department of Land Data and Information Registration, and the Ministry's Office.
In accordance with legal regulations on citizen reception, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organizes regular citizen reception sessions on all working days of the week. Periodically, on the last Thursday of each month, the Ministry's leaders will directly receive citizens, and will also conduct unscheduled receptions as required, to receive, answer, and promptly address complaints and denunciations from citizens in the field of natural resources and environment.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa and relevant departments received one group of citizens who filed complaints related to land issues.
Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Duy Nhan and several other citizens residing in Ngoc Than village, Ngoc My commune (Quoc Oai district, Hanoi ) petitioned to review whether the land consolidation and exchange plan for the new rural development project in Ngoc Than village, Ngoc My commune, is in accordance with the established policy. They also asked whether the State would protect the land already allocated to them so they can continue production and livestock farming to ensure their livelihoods, and raised concerns regarding the planning of the Vietnam Natural History Museum construction project in Ngoc My commune, Quoc Oai district.

After listening to citizens' opinions and answering their questions, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa affirmed that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's leadership always listens and will focus on directing its subordinate units to resolve citizens' requests and concerns related to the fields of the Natural Resources and Environment sector according to their authority and legal regulations.
Regarding Mr. Nguyen Duy Nhan's petition, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa stated that this matter falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Therefore, she instructed the Ministry's Inspectorate to send a written request to the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the Quoc Oai District People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies of the City to inspect, review, resolve, and respond to the citizen in accordance with the law.
