Promoting voluntary compliance and full tax payment - Building a powerful era

Improving voluntary tax compliance is not only a technical task, but also a step forward in culture and trust between the State and citizens.

With that spirit, Lao Dong Newspaper and the Tax Department - Ministry of Finance jointly chaired, and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) co-organized the Workshop "Promoting voluntary compliance and full tax contribution - Building a powerful era" at 2:00 p.m. on October 23, 2025 at Lao Dong Newspaper headquarters in Hanoi.

The workshop took place in the context of Vietnam completing the Tax System Reform Strategy until 2030, while promoting digital transformation in public financial management. This is the time when the Vietnamese tax industry has achieved almost comprehensive digitalization with more than 99% of enterprises declaring, paying and refunding taxes electronically, but the bigger challenge is the transition from "administrative compliance" to "voluntary compliance".

The event gathered leaders of state management agencies, representatives of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee, international organizations such as IMF, JICA, Deloitte, domestic and foreign business associations, and many economic and technology experts... The central contents of the workshop focused on clarifying three core pillars: transparency, fairness and companionship.

Through the working sessions, the workshop will address major movements in institutional reform: reducing compliance costs, increasing policy predictability, developing taxpayer-centric digital services, and fostering public service ethics and a culture of administrative integrity throughout the system.
