On the morning of February 1st, comrades Do Trong Hung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, met with former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionary cadres on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon).

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan provided information on the province's achievements in 2023.
In the atmosphere of the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan happily announced the achievements and results that the Party Committee, government, armed forces, business community and people of all ethnic groups in the province have achieved in 2023.
Notably, the economy continued to grow at a relatively strong pace, with a gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of 7.01%, ranking third among the provinces and cities with the largest economies in the country. Significant progress was made in socio-cultural fields; employment and social security were addressed promptly, comprehensively, and effectively; and national defense, security, and social order were ensured. Party building and the development of the political system saw many innovations with creative and effective approaches.

Besides enthusiastically sharing with former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionary cadres about the outstanding achievements of 2023, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan also seriously acknowledged and informed them about the shortcomings and limitations of the past year, while outlining the major directions set forth by the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for 2024.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan expressed his hope that, with their experience and wisdom, the former leaders would continue to share their heartfelt opinions so that the current provincial leaders could continue to successfully lead the implementation of the set goals and targets, enabling Thanh Hoa to develop faster and stronger.

Excited by the province's development and progress, former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionaries expressed their agreement and appreciation for the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee for upholding the spirit of unity and consensus, implementing many solutions to create momentum for socio -economic development, maintaining national defense and security, and achieving many positive changes in Party building work, thus consolidating and strengthening trust within the Party and among the people.

Former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionaries expressed their confidence that, with the dynamism, enthusiasm, courage, and creativity of the current provincial leadership team, Thanh Hoa province will accelerate its development and achieve breakthroughs to reach the goals of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The Provincial Party Secretary stated: In 2023, in the journey of overcoming "headwinds," the Party Committee, government, business community, and people of all ethnic groups in our province carried out their tasks with many difficulties and obstacles, achieving many commendable results and continuing to set "impressive" figures. Among the overall achievements and results, there was unity within the Party, among the people, and solidarity between generations, as well as solidarity with neighboring provinces and cities.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the heartfelt opinions of the former provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung also outlined the province's new directions for 2024 and the following years. In the atmosphere of the new spring arriving throughout the homeland, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung respectfully hopes to continue receiving the attention, support, and encouragement of the former provincial leaders and veteran revolutionary cadres so that the Provincial Party Standing Committee can realize the aspiration of building Thanh Hoa into a growth pole in the North of the country; a model province as beloved President Ho Chi Minh wished during his lifetime.
