Heavy rain news from September 11 and weather forecast for the next 10 days

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a weather forecast bulletin predicting thunderstorms, localized heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind from September 11th in the Northern, North Central, Central Highlands, and Southern regions, as well as a 10-day weather forecast.

Accordingly, today (September 10th), showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Northern region, North and Central Central regions, Central Highlands, and Southern region, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on September 10th exceeded 60mm in some areas, such as: Nam Cang (Lao Cai) 65.4mm, Cao Son (Nghe An) 72.4mm, Binh Dien (Thua Thien Hue) 60.6mm, Ho Thac Gian (Da Nang) 101.8mm, Huyen Hoi ( Tra Vinh ) 68.8mm, etc.

Forecast for the night of September 10th and the day of September 11th in the following areas:

Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall, with amounts of 15-30mm, and in some places over 70mm.

The Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam will experience showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall of 20-40mm, and in some places over 80mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rainfall may cause flooding in low-lying areas and pose a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous regions.

The meteorological agency also warned that on the night of September 11th, there will be showers and thunderstorms in the Northern and North Central regions, with localized heavy to very heavy rain; from September 12th to 13th, there will be moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with localized very heavy rain in some areas.

From the night of September 11th to 13th, the Central Highlands and Southern regions will experience showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall (the rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening).

Northern and North Central Vietnam: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam: Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening, with localized heavy to very heavy rainfall.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

Weather forecast for various regions from the night of September 12th to September 20th.

Northern and North Central Vietnam: from September 12-13, there will be moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some areas; from September 14 onwards, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain in some localized areas.

Central Vietnam: From September 14th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized moderate to heavy rain (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and evening).

Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam: From September 12-13, there will be showers and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with localized heavy to very heavy rain; from September 14 onwards, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening, with localized moderate to heavy rain.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
