According to the schedule set by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, from now until before January 3, 2026, students at all levels will take their first semester exams and assessments.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training leadership has requested schools to review and address several important issues: the situation of illegal tutoring; unreasonable timetable arrangements; and the obsession with academic achievement in education , which puts pressure on students and teachers regarding grades. Under no circumstances should students' academic results be used to evaluate performance or to reward or discipline teachers.
Organize the end-of-semester 1 periodic tests according to the plan; ensure that the test matrix and questions are appropriate and accurately assess students' abilities; strictly adhere to the procedures for test preparation, invigilation, and marking...
Ensure transparency and openness in collaborative activities related to school program implementation among the teaching staff and parents to foster consensus.
In particular, the school should build and arrange a scientific timetable, adhering strictly to the number of lessons and duration as per the curriculum, in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training, and without causing difficulties for parents and students during the learning and transportation process.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, educational institutions need to strengthen school safety measures, prevent and promptly address risks of school violence, child abuse, and other unsafe situations to ensure the rights, health, and comprehensive development of students. They must also ensure food safety and hygiene in school cafeterias; control ingredients and processing procedures to prevent food poisoning among students.
Regarding schools coordinating with other organizations to send students to competitions (competitions not organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, and international competitions), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training leadership has directed that the licenses of these organizations must be checked, procedures followed, and the information sent to the Department of Education and Training. Businesses should not directly send the list of students to the Department. When organizing award ceremonies at schools, the awards at the city level must be those organized or co-organized by the Department of Education and Training.
