Over 1,200 billion VND of capital from the budget entrusted for preferential loans

Identifying the important role of capital, up to now, the total provincial budget capital and district budget entrusted through the Social Policy Bank, Quang Ninh branch has reached over 1,208 billion VND, an increase of 167.6 billion VND compared to the beginning of 2024 to implement policy credit programs in the province.

Specifically, the capital entrusted from the provincial budget is 1,079.7 billion VND, an increase of 163.1 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year; the capital entrusted from the district budget is 128.5 billion VND, an increase of 4.4 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year.

This fund has supported 15,516 turns. households and workers were given loans. Of which, 236 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty were given loans to serve production and business; 197 people with revolutionary contributions and low-income people were supported to build new, repair houses, and buy social housing to live in and ensure settlement; 3,282 households were given loans to build clean water and sanitation works; 11,662 customers were given loans to create jobs, maintain and expand jobs; 52 households were given loans to students in difficult circumstances to study; 48 households were given loans to create jobs for people who have completed their prison sentences; 28 households and individuals were given loans to plant large timber forests according to Resolution 337/2021/NQ-HDND; 01 cooperative was given loans.

Based on the provincial budget and the district-level budget entrusted in 2024, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, reported to the Central Government to arrange counterpart funds of 180 billion VND in loans for job creation. Currently, the bank has collected opinions, consulted and submitted to the Board of Directors of the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch to assign the plan to the implementing units.

Along with that, currently, relevant departments, branches and units are completing procedures to allocate 288 billion VND of public funds to support production development to supplement and increase other development investment expenditures to entrust the Bank for Social Policies to lend for production development according to Resolution No. 216/NQ-HDND dated July 10, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council on supplementing, adjusting and allocating the provincial budget estimate for 2024.
