International Exhibition on Electrical Technology and Equipment 2025: A Bridge for Technological Innovation and Investment Attraction

Tạp chí Doanh NghiệpTạp chí Doanh Nghiệp18/02/2025

DNVN - The 18th International Exhibition on Electrical Technology & Equipment and Energy-Saving Products, Green Energy (Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo 2025) will continue to be an effective bridge in promoting trade, attracting investment, and exchanging science and technology.

Green economic growth is a new trend in the restructuring of the economy in the face of climate change and depletion of natural resources, aiming for sustainable development. Research and utilization of new renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, or bioenergy are essential for countries to develop low-carbon or green economies.

Vietnam has been striving to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, contributing to sustainable development and enhancing the competitiveness of the Vietnamese economy.

At the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP28), with its "Global Cooling Commitment," Vietnam is accelerating the implementation of policies and incentives to reduce energy consumption and limit greenhouse gas emissions. By 2025, total electricity production and imports are projected to reach approximately 347.5 billion kWh, an increase of about 12.2% compared to 2024, with total power generation capacity (excluding rooftop solar power) increasing by 6.2%.

The revised draft of the Power Development Plan VIII presents two scenarios for the period 2026-2030. These are a 10.3% increase in electricity demand under the baseline scenario and a 12.5% increase under the high scenario, closely aligned with economic development scenarios. Simultaneously, to meet the demand for increased power capacity across the entire system, Vietnam needs to mobilize between US$30.7 billion and US$40 billion in investment capital by 2030, primarily from the private sector and non-state enterprises.

The Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo makes a positive contribution to Vietnam's efforts to combat climate change.

Through 17 editions, the Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo has actively contributed to Vietnam's climate change mitigation goals. The Vietnam ETE & Greenergy Expo 2025, taking place from July 16-18, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), will continue to be an effective bridge connecting domestic and international businesses to enhance trade promotion and attract investment. Simultaneously, it will facilitate the exchange of scientific and technological knowledge, expand production and business, and contribute to ensuring national energy security.

In 2025, the exhibition will continue to expand its cooperation with the Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association (KOEMA), with the theme: “ELECS Vietnam Electrical and Energy Exhibition”. The exhibition is expected to cover an area of 15,000 square meters with nearly 750 booths from over 500 businesses from Vietnam and other countries with developed electrical industries; attracting approximately 20,000 visitors for direct consultation and business meetings.

The event will provide an opportunity and a favorable environment for businesses operating in the electricity and energy sectors in Vietnam and internationally to showcase their advanced products, technologies, and latest scientific achievements. It will also facilitate networking, experience sharing, and the expansion of collaborative relationships.
