On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, leaders of various countries sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of our Party and State.

Laos: General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith; Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone; and Speaker of the National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane jointly sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Speaker of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue.

The Party, State, and people of Laos are very proud to see the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, meticulously nurtured by the great President Ho Chi Minh , the beloved President Kaysone Phomvihane, and many generations of leaders of both countries, developing steadily, deepening, and becoming an invaluable asset and a vital factor determining the success of the revolutionary cause of each country.

Lao leaders expressed sincere gratitude for the valuable, timely, and effective support and assistance that Vietnam has provided to Laos over the years, and affirmed that under any circumstances, Laos will continue to preserve and cultivate the rare and special relationship between the two countries so that it may flourish and endure forever.

China: General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang sent a congratulatory message to Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji sent a congratulatory message to the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue.

Senior Chinese leaders congratulated Vietnam on its encouraging achievements in socio-economic development and expressed confidence that Vietnam will make steady progress on the path to socialism in accordance with its own circumstances.

Chinese leaders affirmed that they attach great importance to developing relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and expressed their desire to strengthen strategic exchanges with Vietnam and deepen cooperation in various fields.

Cambodia: The Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate Say Chhum, Prime Minister Hun Manet, and President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary sent letters and telegrams of congratulations to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and senior leaders of Vietnam.

Cambodian leaders congratulated the Vietnamese people on the great achievements they have made in recent times and expressed their firm belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve even greater successes.

Cambodia highly appreciates the continuous development of the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and sustainable, long-term partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia. Cambodian leaders expressed their desire to continue cooperating closely with Vietnam to strengthen and develop the bilateral relationship in an increasingly sustainable manner, for the common benefit of both countries.

Cuba: First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Cuban National Assembly President Esteban Lazo Hernández sent a congratulatory message to National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Cuban leaders send their best wishes to the senior leaders and people of fraternal Vietnam; remembering President Ho Chi Minh's words "nothing is more precious than independence and freedom" and affirming that the Vietnamese people have broken the yoke of colonial and imperialist rule, unified the country, and embarked on a path of reform under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, achieving many successes recognized by the whole world.

Cuba expressed deep pride in the historical solidarity that has been nurtured and strengthened in the common struggle for independence, freedom, and development; and affirmed its desire to further promote the special traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Russia: President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Parliament, and Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, sent letters and congratulatory messages to the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue.

Senior Russian leaders affirmed that Vietnam is a traditional and reliable partner of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region; and expressed their desire for the comprehensive strategic partnership to continue to be strengthened within both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, across a variety of fields.

Russian leaders expressed confidence that the two sides would work together to further promote relations that serve the interests of the people of both countries.

North Korea: General Secretary and Chairman Kim Jong Un sent a joint congratulatory message to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The North Korean leader congratulated the Vietnamese people on achieving many important accomplishments in national construction and development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

India: President Droupadi Murmu sent a congratulatory message to President Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Indian leaders reviewed the history of relations between India and Vietnam, noting that they have always been strong and enduring in the face of time's challenges. They assessed the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries as a testament to deep mutual trust, understanding, and shared values, creating a strong bond between the two nations.

Indian leaders affirmed that Vietnam is an important pillar of India's Act East Policy and its Indo-Pacific vision. The cooperative efforts of both sides not only contribute to the prosperity and stability of each country, but also actively contribute to broader peace, stability, and development in the Indo-Pacific region and globally.

Indonesia: President Joko Widodo sent congratulatory messages to President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

President Joko Widodo expressed his belief that the strategic partnership between the two countries over the past decade has been a strong foundation for addressing current and future challenges, and affirmed Indonesia's commitment to further strengthen close cooperation with Vietnam for the development of both nations.

Malaysia: Sultan Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah sent a congratulatory letter to President Vo Van Thuong.

The King of Malaysia expressed his delight at the increasingly deep and developing bilateral cooperation; he expressed confidence that with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2023, cooperation between the two countries will continue to benefit the people and further deepen the bond between the two nations and peoples.

Philippines: President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos sent congratulatory letters to President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The President of the Philippines congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in national construction and development, contributing to maintaining a steady economic growth momentum and serving as a model of resilience and progress. The President emphasized that the Philippines has always considered Vietnam a natural partner in the region and wishes to further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries within the bilateral framework as well as within ASEAN, looking forward to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026.
