Thanh Ba Town Primary School maintains national standards and improves quality

GD&TĐ - Thanh Ba Town Primary School (Phu Tho) affirms its position by maintaining a national standard school level 2 and achieving quality accreditation level 3.

Speaking with the Education and Training Newspaper, Ms. Me Thi Bich Lien, Principal of Thanh Ba Town Primary School (Thanh Ba commune, Phu Tho province), said: In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year with new expectations, the school has focused on renovating the campus, improving facilities, purchasing equipment and teaching materials, and is ready to welcome the opening day.

To date, 100% of the school's teachers have fully participated in summer training and professional development courses; the school assigns teachers to teaching according to their expertise and professional training.

Teachers and staff have completed preparations for the opening ceremony of the new school year with a determination to strive for excellence in teaching and learning. Classrooms have been decorated according to their own creative ideas.

In the new school year, the school continues to focus on political and ideological education for students; educating them about traditions through teaching political theory lessons, establishing competition criteria, and disseminating school regulations to students, especially those in grade 1.

"Learning through play, playing through learning" activities not only stimulate students' creative thinking, but they are also used as a way to decorate the classroom in a lively way, thereby creating interest, curiosity, and meaningful and beneficial exploration for students.

In addition, local experiential and educational activities will be promoted, linking learning with the realities of the homeland. Education on traffic safety, drowning prevention, school violence prevention, and self-protection skills will continue to be effectively integrated into Youth Union and Young Pioneer activities.

Maintain national standards and improve overall quality.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Thanh Ba Town Primary School will implement the 2018 General Education Program for all grade levels, deploying many innovative solutions in teaching, linking theory with practice and experiential activities.

The school focuses on teaching methods that develop students' qualities and abilities, applying advanced models such as the "VNEN New School" in grade 5, the "Hands-on Learning" method in Science, and mind maps in Vietnamese and Mathematics; while actively incorporating STEM education into its periodic educational plans.

The professional team maintains regular class observation sessions, shares lessons, and organizes thematic workshops to improve the quality of Mathematics, Vietnamese Language, English, Information Technology, and digital citizenship skills education.

Teachers proactively utilize open educational resources, apply information technology and artificial intelligence in teaching, and innovate assessment methods in accordance with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDĐT, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of students' abilities and qualities.

Leaders of Thanh Ba Town Primary School presented awards to Nguyen Diep Anh, a student in class 4D, who won one gold medal in the IOE Grade 4 competition and one silver medal in the IOE Grade 5 competition.

With 20 classes and 690 students, Thanh Ba Town Primary School maintains a 100% enrollment rate, with no student dropouts. In the 2024-2025 school year, the percentage of students completing the primary school program will reach 100%; 58.2% of students will receive end-of-year awards.

In intellectual competitions, students won 152 awards from district to national level, including 2 national medals, 64 provincial awards, and 86 district awards. According to the survey of 5th-grade students conducted by the Department of Education and Training, 95.7% of students scored 5 points or higher in Vietnamese, and 92.9% scored 5 points or higher in Mathematics, ranking among the top in the former Thanh Ba district.

The school places special emphasis on improving the quality of its teaching staff: 100% of teachers meet the required university degree standards, with many teachers having excellent or outstanding teaching performance ratings.

During the school year, 22 out of 26 teachers received the title of excellent teacher at the school level. Professional development, linked to the innovation of teaching methods, was regularly implemented through training courses, cluster-level professional development activities, and thematic workshops.

Facilities and teaching equipment continue to be invested in and utilized effectively. Although some functional rooms are still in disrepair and equipment is not standardized, the school has proactively addressed this by utilizing existing resources, creating its own teaching aids, and mobilizing social resources to supplement library books and equipment.

The school was officially surveyed by the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province and was assessed as achieving quality accreditation level 3 and national standard school level 2 in December 2022.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the school will conduct a self-assessment according to the plan to achieve level 3 quality accreditation and level 2 national standard school status.

The educational and training achievements that the school has attained in the past academic years will serve as a foundation and strength for teachers and students of Thanh Ba Town Primary School to continue improving the overall quality of education; maintaining its status as a national standard school at level 2 and achieving quality accreditation at level 3.
