"Yesterday, I checked the benchmark and saw a surplus of 0.2, but I waited forever and still didn't receive an email, nor did I receive a phone number. I went to the Ministry's website and only saw a blank page for the admission search. When I looked at the registration form, it was "kicked out" and I had to log in again. I feel like I passed but I'm still nervous and scared...", another person wrote.

Meanwhile, a candidate shared a notice from a university about how to look up the school's admission results: "The school informs about looking up the results of regular university admissions in 2025: Currently, the school's lookup system is in the process of updating admission score data. It is expected that candidates can start looking up from 5:00 p.m. today, August 23... We hope candidates will wait calmly and sympathize with this inconvenience. The school will update as soon as possible."

Under the post announcing the benchmark scores of a university on Facebook fanpage, a candidate left a comment: "I have 2 points more than the benchmark score, but when I looked it up, it said the candidate's information does not exist or the application was canceled. Why is that? There is no information on the Ministry's website yet."

Factors candidates need to consider to know the possibility of admission

Not only about the method of searching, many opinions also said that when looking at the benchmark scores announced by universities, candidates are not sure about their chances of passing or failing because they are afraid of the regulations on equivalent score conversion. However, a representative of a university said that candidates only need to pay attention to the benchmark scores for each major that the schools have announced according to each admission method and combination. From this benchmark score, candidates can compare with the results they have achieved to know whether they have been admitted or not.

However, for some schools that announce the admission scores based on the original combination, candidates need to refer to the school's announcement regulating the score deviation of the admission combinations. For example, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the standard score for the math pedagogy major based on the high school graduation exam scores with the original combination A00 (math-physics-chemistry) at 28.25. According to the school's regulations on the score deviation between the combinations, candidates applying for admission with the combination A01 (math-physics-English) need to achieve 28.75 points to be admitted (because the deviation of the combination A01 compared to the original combination A00 is 0.5 points).
