Proud of Hai Au Photography Association with the work "Proud of Ho Chi Minh City"

(NADS) - The Hai Au Photography Association (HOPA), consisting of 28 members of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, has made a special mark on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. Responding to the call of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the City Department of Culture and Sports in the campaign "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of proud heroic epic," the Association published a photo book entitled "Proud of Ho Chi Minh City" - a meaningful collective work, affirming the love and deep pride for the city named after Uncle Ho.

The photo book “Proud of Ho Chi Minh City” is the result of the hard work of the sisters in the Hai Au Photography Association. With more than 250 A4 pages printed in color, the book is a vivid journey recreating the multifaceted beauty of the city through the lenses of female photographers in the association. From images of urban landscapes, cultural and artistic activities, sports, military, festivals, to emotional everyday moments, all have been conveyed through 284 selected photos, creating a panoramic picture that is both intimate and majestic about Ho Chi Minh City.

Not only is the content rich, the book is also carefully invested in form, with a hard cover and luxurious box. This work is not only a meaningful gift for the 50th anniversary of national reunification but also a testament to the spirit of solidarity, creativity and dedication of the sisters in the association.

Proud achievement at the national art movement

The campaign “HCMC - 50 years of pride in the heroic epic” was organized and launched in July 2023, attracting the participation of many authors across the country. With 630 works from 434 authors and groups of authors in many fields such as music , cinema, architecture, dance, fine arts, photography, theater and literature, the campaign is truly a large playground, a place where unique artistic creations converge.

Among the outstanding works honored, the photo book “Proud of Ho Chi Minh City” by the Hai Au Photography Association won the second prize, bringing great honor to the group. This achievement not only recognized the artistic contribution but also affirmed the spirit of solidarity, enthusiasm and strong love for the city of the female photographers.
