The "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program has played and continues to play a leading role in affirming the value of rural products, helping products from all over the country to reach not only domestic consumers but also international markets. OCOP products not only showcase unique cultural and traditional characteristics but also meet high quality standards, suitable for the needs of domestic and international consumers.
Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang emphasized that, in order to continue implementing Decision 919/QD-TTg dated August 1, 2022, of the Prime Minister approving the One Commune One Product Program and to promote economic development in line with the goals and orientations of the Goods Import and Export Strategy to 2030 as per Decision No. 493/QD-TTg dated April 19, 2022, of the Prime Minister, the implementation of trade promotion activities to support OCOP entities in connecting with international partners and businesses to boost exports is essential.
The Vietnam OCOPEX (Export Exhibition of OCOP Products) is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP entities to introduce and promote their products, seek partners, and develop markets not only domestically but also internationally. This is achieved through direct networking, exchange, and business cooperation opportunities with trade promotion organizations, businesses, and foreign importers. Simultaneously, OCOP entities also have the chance to exchange information, learn about the stringent requirements of the global market, and explore the possibility of expanding their export scale.

Assessing the significance of the exhibition, Director of the Trade Promotion Department Vu Ba Phu emphasized that the exhibition aims to boost exports, support Vietnamese businesses in directly exporting key products and OCOP products with national advantages to foreign distribution networks, participate extensively in the global value chain, and proactively integrate into the world economy;
Simultaneously, it aims to introduce and connect OCOP producers with foreign businesses, as well as foreign representative offices and trade promotion organizations in Vietnam. This allows foreign representative offices to access information about the market and unique OCOP products from various localities, facilitating direct and visual connections with OCOP producers when needed.
According to the Director of the Trade Promotion Department, participating in the 2024 OCOP Export Products Exhibition will open opportunities for OCOP producers to access foreign businesses, representative offices, and foreign trade promotion organizations in Vietnam. In addition, "meeting experienced experts in the import-export field at the exhibition will support OCOP producers in innovating their production thinking and organizing production in a systematic and sustainable way," the Director of the Trade Promotion Department stated.
