According to the report on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in July, according to the Department of Planning and Investment, during the month, all levels, sectors and localities closely followed the direction and management of the Government and the province to effectively implement the goals. From there, the socio-economic indicators had many outstanding results.

Specifically, in July, the industrial production index (IIP) continued to grow well, reaching 11.82%. In particular, the processing and manufacturing industry demonstrated a new leading role in the province's economic growth when it increased by 28.46%, the accumulated 7 months of 2024 increased by 34.81% over the same period in 2023. The service sector continued to recover and grow steadily. The total number of tourists to the province reached 2.5 million, the accumulated 7 months reached 12.9 million, an increase of 20% over the same period.

Along with that, the work of improving the environment and attracting investment has been promoted. During the month, the province organized the granting of Investment Registration Certificates to Foxconn Group to implement 2 projects with a total investment capital of more than 551 million USD, bringing the total FDI investment in the first 7 months of the year to 1,559.24 million USD, ranking 2nd nationwide.

Other social issues are also well addressed and resolved harmoniously; the province focuses on developing culture and people, ensuring social security and fairness, social progress, and improving the quality of people's lives. The province has implemented activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (1947-2024); organized delegations to offer incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery; successfully organized the 2024 High School Graduation Exam with an average score ranked 25th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, up 11 places compared to 2023...

Other tasks such as state management of planning, land, natural resources and environment, and comprehensive digital transformation are promoted; inspection work, handling of complaints and denunciations are focused on directing and resolving...

However, in addition to the achieved results, there were still some limitations in the month; based on reports from units and localities, delegates attending the meeting spent time reviewing and analyzing to clarify the causes. In particular, participating in and proposing adjustments to a number of growth scenario indicators on the basis of closely following the resolutions, goals and plans of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council on tasks and solutions to ensure economic growth targets in the last months of 2024.

To effectively implement the plans for the next month, in line with the goals of the whole year, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to focus on implementing the resolutions and conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council on implementing tasks in 2024. This July, it is necessary to complete the adjustment of the growth scenario, ensuring actual conditions and needs, in accordance with the development process of each industry and each locality.

Effectively implement groups of solutions to promote disbursement of public investment capital, focusing on removing difficulties, drastically accelerating the progress of key projects and works, projects that have an impact on socio-economic development; continue to support investors to accelerate the progress of the Quang Ninh LNG Power Plant project; focus on effectively implementing solutions to stimulate tourism, put into operation new tourism products; review, propose, supplement, and submit to the Provincial People's Council on fee and charge collection; complete the adjustment of the provincial planning; accelerate the progress of management of architectural, urban planning and economic zones...

At the same time, continue to strengthen, strictly manage, economically and effectively use land, natural resources, finance and public assets; ensure social security, effectively implement policies to care for people with meritorious services and vulnerable groups; promote democracy, self-reliance, creativity and all resources to improve the quality of people's lives; prepare well for the arrangement of administrative units after the National Assembly promulgates, paying special attention to the work of organizing the apparatus; continue to contribute, supplement and prepare to participate in the documents of the Provincial Party Congress...

Ensure national defense, security, social order and safety; maintain sovereignty over national land borders and islands; avoid being passive or surprised in any situation; fight against crime, effectively deploy solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, control and reduce traffic accidents and occupational accidents; strengthen information and propaganda work, create high consensus in society.
