Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Ukraine attacked the Russian capital with a barrage of drones in a 'large-scale' attack in the early hours of March 11.
Authorities claim that 74 drones were shot down as they approached Moscow in the early morning of March 11. This event marks the largest drone attack on the capital Moscow during the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Mayor Sobyanin attributed the attack to the Ukrainian military. Ukraine has not commented on the report.

"Emergency services are working at the site where debris fell," Mayor Sobyanin said. The incident killed at least one person and injured nine others, and caused fires in several areas, according to The Kyiv Independent .
The incident also caused Moscow airports to divert or suspend operations. The Russian Air Transport Agency announced restrictions on operations at two major Moscow airports, Zhukovsky and Domodedovo, for security reasons.
Meanwhile, Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov said that some residents had been forced to evacuate their apartments in the Ramenskoye district of Moscow, about 50 kilometers southeast of the Kremlin.
The TASS news agency, citing a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that their forces intercepted a large-scale attack by 337 Ukrainian drones across several regions, including 91 in the Moscow region, 126 in the Kursk region, 38 in the Bryansk region, and others in the Belgorod, Ryazan, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Oryol, Voronezh, and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

The airstrike occurred as delegations from Kyiv and Washington were about to meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss peace terms and ways to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Ukraine of launching drones at Moscow on the very day a high-level delegation was scheduled to visit the Russian capital. The Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Feridun Sinirlioglu, was scheduled to visit Russia on March 11th.
In another development, Lubos Blaha, a member of the European Parliament, stated that Russia is winning the special military operation and holding the initiative on the battlefield. He told TASS: "Currently, Ukraine has no chance, Ukraine lacks manpower, and without the US, they are incapable of defending their territory."
