The workshop "Promoting digital revolution in insurance and securities businesses with AI and smart data" took place this morning, October 17 in Hanoi .

The event was organized by the Vietnam Association of Securities Business (VASB) in collaboration with GreenNode units and three leading US technology corporations including NVIDIA, TechData and F5.

Market rating organization FTSE Russell has announced that Vietnam's stock market will be upgraded from a frontier market to a secondary emerging market from September 2026. Securities and insurance businesses will have to apply AI and big data to improve competitiveness and optimize customer experience - two key pillars to help upgrade operational capacity and international investor confidence.

Regarding the importance of data management in the securities and finance sector, Ms. Hoang Hai Anh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Securities Business Association, stated that when financial institutions invest heavily in AI and digital infrastructure, perfecting the legal framework and supporting policies will be an important stepping stone for safe and sustainable development.

With the support of management agencies, businesses and technology partners, Vietnam can completely build a transparent, safe and effective data and AI ecosystem, improve national competitiveness and strengthen investor confidence.

At the workshop, many solutions were introduced, helping financial businesses adapt flexibly to new waves of regulations, turning data into a competitive advantage.

For example, the intelligent document processing solution (IDP) supports the automation of data entry, reconciliation and document processing, ensuring "clean-correct-safe" data according to new legal standards, to automate the entire input document processing process, helping to minimize operational errors and optimize personnel costs.

In addition, this solution also helps banks effectively process more than 200 types of documents, reduce 70% of data entry errors and ⅓ of employee working time, saving more than 2,000 working days and tens of billions of VND each year.

Or the platform for synthesizing, processing and analyzing big data combined with AI applications (Data Bloom), helping businesses convert discrete data warehouses into valuable strategic assets, while making decisions faster and more accurately. Thanks to this platform, many insurance companies have easily created reports analyzing customer consumption behavior, even integrating AI assistants to support profile entry, product lookup or claim processing.
