On November 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC), Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Support and Consulting Center (DXCenter), Vietnam Digital Technology Alliance (VNITO), MobiFone Region 8, and bacsigiadinh.com Information Channel jointly organized for the first time the Conference and Exhibition on Application of Technology to Support Healthcare for the Elderly (Vietnam Golden Age Care 2024).
At the conference, delegates said that this is an important event in the context of Vietnam and the world facing a rapid aging population. The increasing number of elderly people in Vietnam is posing many challenges for health care and improving the quality of life.
According to statistics, it is forecasted that by 2030, the population over 60 years old will account for about 17%, and this number will increase to 25% by 2050.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Director of Digital Health Products, TMA Innovation Company, said that currently, the number of nursing homes in Vietnam is too small compared to the population size, so when the population ages, the need for nursing homes will increase rapidly and promote investment in this field.
