Speaking at the "Digitalization of the Retail Industry and Launch of the OneShop Brand" event held on the morning of October 27th, Mr. Le Huynh Minh Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, said that, according to the orientation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and the National Digital Transformation Program, the city aims for the digital economy to account for 40% of GRDP by 2030, with the trade and service sector, especially retail, playing a leading role.
To achieve this goal, the City's Department of Industry and Trade is implementing many synchronized solutions to promote digital transformation in the industry and trade sector, specifically: building a digital ecosystem for the trade and distribution industry, connecting businesses, suppliers, distributors, logistics, and consumers on a shared data platform; digitizing traditional markets and retail channels, helping small traders and small businesses access cashless payments, e-commerce, and modern business support platforms.

At the same time, the city also supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing their digital transformation capabilities through training, consulting, and technology and financial support packages. “We collaborate with technology and investment firms; One Mount and its partners at today’s event are prime examples. All of this is aimed at jointly fostering and building models of ‘smart retail,’ ‘digital supply chains,’ and ‘industry data connectivity,’” Mr. Tú stated.
Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade also highly appreciated One Mount Distribution's efforts in pioneering the development of the OneShop platform, a comprehensive digital model for the retail chain, connecting manufacturers, distributors, shop owners, and consumers. This is not just a technological product, but also a testament to the partnership between businesses and the government in the digital transformation journey.
The launch of OneShop contributes to realizing the goals of the state in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, which is to "build a transparent, modern, sustainable retail industry and spread the value of digital transformation to all components in the economic ecosystem."
In the coming period, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade will continue to work alongside the business community, investors, and technology companies to promote deeper digital transformation throughout the industry, aiming for a modern, connected, and green commercial ecosystem.
According to Ms. Dang Hong Thuy, Director of Commercial Development at One Mount Distribution, Vietnam currently has over 5.2 million individual business households, estimated to contribute approximately 30% of GDP and create jobs for tens of millions of workers. This force is considered the "lifeblood" of the national consumer economy, but it is also facing many new challenges as digital transformation becomes more widespread.
According to Ms. Thuy, the regulations on implementing electronic invoices, ensuring transparency of goods sources, and abolishing lump-sum tax from January 1, 2026, also pose challenges regarding management capacity and adaptation, requiring business households to transform themselves to keep pace with the times and achieve sustainable development.

Faced with this reality, One Mount Distribution, a member of One Mount Group, has pioneered the deployment of technology solutions specifically for small businesses. In 2020, One Mount Distribution launched VinShop, a platform connecting manufacturers, distributors, and retail stores, helping shop owners "sell more easily, more efficiently, and live better in the digital age."
After 5 years of development, One Mount Distribution serves over 120,000 grocery stores, connecting more than 500 brands and suppliers, and providing 10,000 genuine products across essential categories. Entering 2025, this journey will be inherited and elevated with OneShop, a brand with the mission of "Accompanying Vietnamese small businesses to prosper," aiming to create a smart, comprehensive, and sustainable retail ecosystem.
According to a company representative, OneShop remains committed to its goal: "Every small shop will become a digital store, ensuring no one is left behind in Vietnam's digital transformation journey." For distributors, the data system allows for real-time tracking of goods flow, identifying high-growth sales points, and thus developing more optimal supply plans. For brands and suppliers, OneShop provides multi-dimensional market data, enabling quick, accurate decisions that closely match Vietnamese consumer needs. As a result, OneShop creates a "closed data loop," seamlessly connecting manufacturers, distributors, stores, and consumers, contributing to a transparent, efficient, and modern supply chain.
“OneShop will continue to expand its scale, diversify its product categories, and deeply apply data and artificial intelligence to optimize operational efficiency, personalize business experiences, and contribute to shaping the future of Vietnam’s retail industry,” shared CEO Le Thiet Bao, General Director of One Mount Distribution.
