The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Vietnam and Cambodia would continue to share experiences and implement practical activities to improve the quality of mass mobilization work and harness the strength of youth.

On the afternoon of July 5th, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Hun Many, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Secretary General of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Affairs, and President of the Cambodian Youth Union, who is on a visit and working trip to Vietnam.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed his greetings and best wishes for good health to King Norodom Sihamoni, Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the CPP Party and President of the Cambodian Senate, Samdech Thipadei, Prime Minister Hun Manet, and other CPP leaders; congratulated and expressed confidence that Cambodia will continue to achieve great successes in socio-economic development and prosperity; congratulated Mr. Hun Many on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and expressed confidence that his visit to Vietnam in his new capacity will contribute to promoting bilateral relations.
Cambodian Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many were pleased to note that the cooperative relationship between the two countries has maintained stable development in recent times; high-level leaders of both countries maintain regular contact and exchanges; bilateral cooperation mechanisms continue to be effective; economic cooperation continues to be a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries, and the target of 10 billion USD in bilateral trade by 2022 has been achieved…

The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at learning that the Cambodian delegation had very effective exchanges with Vietnamese agencies; he emphasized the importance of mass mobilization work and expressed confidence that through this visit to Vietnam, the two sides would continue to share experiences and implement practical activities to improve the quality of mass mobilization work, harnessing the strength of youth in each country with the perspective that "strength originates from the people," taking the people as the center, subject, goal, driving force, and resource for development; affirming that Vietnam always cherishes the solidarity, close ties, and mutual sacrifices between the two countries and between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia in the national liberation and reunification efforts in the past, as well as in the building and development of the country today.
The Prime Minister stated that in the coming period, both sides need to continue strengthening and promoting solidarity and unity among the three countries of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable, cooperative, and developing environment in the region. He proposed continuing to promote high-level visits and contacts between the leaders of the two countries and high-level meetings between the three heads of the three Parties of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia; reviewing and effectively implementing agreements of high-level leaders and promoting cooperative relations between ministries, sectors, and localities of the two countries.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to further enhance the effectiveness of economic cooperation, build independent and self-reliant economies, achieve deep and effective economic integration in each country, and develop new areas such as the digital economy and the green economy; continue to promote connectivity between the two economies, trade, investment, and transportation, and work towards the goal of soon reaching $20 billion in bilateral trade.
The Prime Minister suggested that both sides should strive to resolve the remaining approximately 16% of uncompleted border demarcation in order to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and sustainably developing border; and at the same time, promote people-to-people exchanges, and educate and encourage people, especially the younger generation of both countries, to preserve and cultivate the good neighborly relations, friendship, solidarity, and close ties between Vietnam and Cambodia.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and requested that the Cambodian side continue to pay attention to and resolve difficulties for people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia, including obtaining Cambodian citizenship, helping them stabilize their lives, integrate into the local society, and serve as a bridge of friendship between the two countries; at the same time, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses investing and operating in Cambodia.

The Secretary-General of the CPP's Mass Mobilization Department, Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, thanked the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him; expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm and cordial welcome extended by the Vietnamese side to the delegation; and conveyed greetings and best wishes for good health from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Chairman of the CPP and President of the Cambodian Senate; Samdech Men Sam An, Vice Chairman of the CPP and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Department of the CPP; and Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Announcing the results of talks and working sessions with Vietnamese agencies including the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Youth Union, the Secretary General of the CPP's Mass Mobilization Department, Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, affirmed that Cambodia values its relationship with Vietnam and will never forget the material and spiritual assistance, and especially the sacrifices made by Vietnam, which helped Cambodia escape the genocidal regime.
The Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated and was pleased with the development achievements that have transformed Vietnam's economy into a "new tiger," an emerging economy with projected GDP growth of over 6% in 2024 and 2025, aiming to become a developed country by 2045.
Sharing and strongly agreeing with the opinions of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, he affirmed that he would strive together with the Central Committee of the CPP's Mass Mobilization Department and Cambodian leaders to continue working closely with Vietnam to preserve, cultivate, and promote the good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability in all fields between Vietnam and Vietnam, making them increasingly profound, practical, and effective; including continuing to widely disseminate information among the people, especially the younger generation and youth of Cambodia, about the value and close relationship of solidarity and friendship between the two countries and two peoples.
