Especially in the current context, with the great potential and room for development in technology between the two countries, the opportunities are even greater, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor technology.

In Vietnam, the information technology (IT) and digital technology sectors are experiencing remarkable growth, with 15-20% growth rates over the past 10 years. Many large foreign corporations, such as Samsung and LG, have also entered the Vietnamese market. Vietnam also has large corporations capable of competing with foreign companies, such asFPT and VNPT.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong stated that the IT industry is experiencing a growth rate of 15-20% per year.

According to Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong, to achieve these results, the Vietnamese government has issued a series of dynamic and innovative policies, such as the policy of developing concentrated IT zones. From 2001 to the present, Vietnam has 8 concentrated IT zones, with more than 1,000 businesses operating.

Furthermore, the government has issued numerous preferential policies in the software manufacturing sector, supporting FDI enterprises in Vietnam. In addition, there are many strategies such as the AI development policy until 2030, aiming to make AI a key sector for Vietnam.

In the coming period, the Government will continue to issue many supportive mechanisms and policies. For example, in June, the Government will issue a plan for developing semiconductor human resources until 2030, and submit it to the National Assembly. It is expected that by 2025, a law on digital technology industry will be enacted to promote this field.

Information technology and digital technology are considered new productive forces, contributing to the modernization of the country. Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong hoped that Mr. Murthy, with his knowledge and vision, would share with the Vietnamese community his management and operational methods, new technological trends, and trends for economic development.

Mr. Murthy's appearance affirmed Vietnam's interest and standing among international friends, and called on the Indian business community and other countries to engage in deeper cooperation, connecting Vietnam with India and the world. Murthy begins his story by recounting his time living and working in France, where he realized that solving poverty in India required creating jobs, something only businesses could do. However, his first experiment failed because he forgot a crucial principle of business: market assessment. As a result, his first startup quickly closed down. He then founded a new company with other colleagues.

By the 1980s, Murthy again saw many opportunities in the US for software services, especially as computers were introduced to the workforce while computing power was still limited.

"I seized the opportunity and launched my business," said Murthy. "For me, money wasn't that important at the time. My ideal was to demonstrate how a business can create a significant number of jobs. That's what I wanted to show about India's contribution. Solving poverty—that was my dream and ambition," Murthy stated.

During the conversation, Mr. Murthy repeatedly mentioned the "entrepreneurial spirit." He explained that businesses are founded by entrepreneurs who work together to turn ideas into jobs, contributing to the nation's development. They also possess an entrepreneurial spirit, daring to dream and aspire. "In a way, the entrepreneurial spirit helps us a great deal in our business operations," Mr. Murthy affirmed.

According to Mr. Murthy, customer respect is what will help a business achieve 100% profitability; with customer trust, the company will attract employees from other businesses. For long-term investment, businesses need to achieve this.

Sharing his secrets to successful business leadership, Mr. Murthy stated that in the workplace, leaders and employees are not friends; we have different responsibilities and obligations during working hours. "Outside the office, we are friends. However, in the office, we have ranks and hierarchies," he said.

The co-founder of Infosys believes that IT is a field with enormous demand. The demand for technology is always there because technology is constantly changing and evolving.

The Indian businessman argued that software technology service companies need to create differentiated value for their customers. Each company needs a standardized information system to meet the requirements of its partners. This is an advantage only technology companies can achieve. Furthermore, focusing on learning, being proactive, learning from competitors and different cultures, and being willing to improve ideas and meet requirements will also lead to success. In addition, most organizations, when generating sales and revenue, also need to focus on cost control, creating more jobs, and having resources to care for their employees. Businesses also need to prioritize green energy and reduce environmental pollution...

Narayana Murthy became an IT legend and is considered the "Bill Gates of India" for transforming Infosys from an unknown company into an icon of the country's software industry. In 1999, Infosys was the first Indian company to be listed on the US Nasdaq stock exchange. In 2023, the company achieved revenues exceeding $18 billion, employed 320,000 people, had a presence in 50 countries worldwide, and its market capitalization exceeded $70 billion.

According to Forbes' 2023 statistics, Murthy has a net worth of $4.1 billion, ranking 711th among the world's richest people.
