Vinh Long: Cao Dai Tien Thien Church is closely connected with the nation, uniting religion and life

The Cao Dai Tien Thien Church has made many efforts in building spacious worship facilities, contributing to strengthening solidarity, creating internal consensus and actively participating in meaningful social activities.

On September 5th (corresponding to the 14th day of the 7th lunar month of the Year of the Snake), at the Chau Minh Holy See Ancestral Temple in Tien Thuy commune, Vinh Long province, the Cao Dai Tien Thien Church held its 7th General Assembly of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

The congress was attended by over 490 delegates, including religious leaders and officials representing 133 parishes, with more than 78,000 religious followers in 8 provinces and cities nationwide.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen, Head of the Cao Dai Department of the Government's Religious Affairs Committee, highly appreciated the achievements of the Cao Dai Tien Thien Church during the past term.

The church has made many efforts in building spacious places of worship, contributing to strengthening unity, creating consensus within the community, and actively participating in meaningful social activities.

In addition, the Cao Dai Tien Thien Church has actively guided its followers in stable religious activities, adherence to the law, strengthening and building organizations at all levels; opening training courses on religious doctrine and law for officials and functionaries, printing and distributing scriptures, and disseminating guidance on spiritual practice to the people…

Furthermore, the Church encouraged its followers, clergy, and officials to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, labor and production movements, and expand social charitable activities, such as providing free medical examinations and treatment, assisting people affected by floods and storms, and helping those in difficult and vulnerable circumstances in society, with a total expenditure of over 97 billion VND.

In particular, during the COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam, the Cao Dai Tien Thien Church actively joined hands with all levels and sectors in preventing and controlling the epidemic, contributing to gradually controlling, preventing, and repelling the disease.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nguyen expressed his hope that, in the new term, all dignitaries, officials, and followers of the Cao Dai Tien Thien Church would wholeheartedly practice their faith under the leadership of the Supreme Council and the Standing Committee of the Church, preserve the Dharma, remain connected with the nation, unite religious and secular life, and together effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the laws of the State, the Charter, and the regulations on religious practice.

The Cao Dai Tien Thien Church will successfully fulfill its sacred mission of educating and guiding practitioners, effectively implementing a religious path closely connected with the nation, following the motto "Serving the religion and loving the country - The nation prospers and the religion shines," contributing to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

According to Chief Coordinator Thượng Quang Thanh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Holy See, during the past term, the entire congregation has worked together harmoniously and strived to achieve many accomplishments for the faith.

The spirit of solidarity has been strengthened, relations with all levels of government and the Church have become closer, especially with high consensus on streamlining the two-tiered local government apparatus in the era of national progress.

The Congress set forth the direction for administrative activities of the Church; discussed and contributed ideas on the three main focuses and nine key objectives of the Church, as well as the draft documents to be presented at the Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

An important item on the agenda of this Congress is the amendment of the Charter, aiming to ensure compliance with the Law on Beliefs and Religions and related legal regulations, while also meeting the practical requirements of religious administration.

The General Assembly voted to recognize the 7th term of the Church, comprising 6 dignitaries in the Supreme Council and 15 dignitaries in the Standing Committee of the Church, with Chief Coordinator Thuong Phong Thanh - secular name Huynh Thanh Phong - as the Head of the Committee.
