Regarding the case of a dentist assaulting a customer, after a surprise inspection of Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic at 49 Tran Thi Nghi, Hanh Thong Ward and discovering many violations, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health decided to temporarily suspend the operation of this facility.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, after a video clip of a man in a white blouse assaulting a customer went viral on social media, on the afternoon of September 8, the City Department of Health suddenly inspected Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic at 49 Tran Thi Nghi, Hanh Thong Ward.
At the time of inspection, the facility provided a Business Registration Certificate issued by the City Department of Planning and Investment to Tuyet Chinh Dental Limited Liability Company, first registered on June 15, 2022 and Business Registration Certificate No. 41M8032542 dated October 27, 2016 issued by the People's Committee of Go Vap District (old) to Tuyet Chinh Dental Business Household.
Also at this address, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health issued the License for Medical Examination and Treatment No. 07501/HCM-GPHD dated April 24, 2019 to the Dental Clinic under the Tuyet Chinh Dental Business Household, with Dr. NTTC in charge of technical expertise.
The inspection team recorded many violations at the clinic such as: Not ensuring one of the conditions regarding physical facilities after being granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment; providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise stated in the license to operate medical examination and treatment; not making records and medical records according to the form prescribed by law; advertising medical examination and treatment services that are not in accordance with the scope of expertise stated in the license to operate medical examination and treatment.
The delegation noted that there were 3 employees practicing medical examination and treatment at the clinic but had not yet provided a license to practice medical examination and treatment.
Explaining to the representative of the Department of Health, Dr. NTTC said that since 2021, female customer NTTT went to the orthodontic clinic for braces. However, because she was not satisfied with the treatment results, this female customer posted the content on Facebook and went to the clinic to demand the treatment fee paid.
On the afternoon of September 3, Ms. NTTT went to the clinic to discuss her dissatisfaction with the results of her braces treatment. The two sides exchanged words, leading to the above incident. The image of the person wearing a white blouse who assaulted the patient, which was spread on social networks, is doctor NTTC.
According to Ms. NTTT, after about 2 years of braces at Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic, she felt that her teeth were leaning inward more, so she went to another dental clinic for a check-up and was diagnosed with bone loss and needed to remove the braces soon.
In August 2025, Ms. NTTT had her braces removed by Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic, but since then, her teeth have been tilted inward, lacking aesthetics. After many times contacting the owner of Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic about the above incident, Ms. NTTT still has not received a response.
On the afternoon of September 3, Ms. NTTT and a friend went to Tuyet Chinh Dental Clinic, asking to meet the owner to discuss treatment plans. After an argument, the incident as shown in the video clip that is spreading on social media occurred.
Hanh Thong Ward Police are investigating and collecting evidence of the incident.
On the afternoon of September 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health decided to temporarily suspend the clinic's operations, clarify violations and strictly handle them according to regulations.
The Department of Health recommends that people carefully check information when choosing a medical examination place, and look up necessary information about the clinic at the "Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Medical and Pharmaceutical Practice Lookup Portal" (https://tracuu.medinet.org.vn).
In case of detecting or suspecting any professional or ethical violations, please immediately call the hotline of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health: 0967.771.010 and 0989.401.155 or report via the "Online Health" application./.
