Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Chairman of Ia Rve Commune People's Committee (Dak Lak) said that, implementing the instructions of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training, the unit has reviewed and planned options to build a boarding school for inter-level general education (primary and secondary) according to Conclusion Notice 81-TB/TW of the Politburo .
Accordingly, after the administrative boundary merger, Ia Rve commune will maintain its current status with a 13.2km long border adjacent to Mondulkiri province, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Currently, the whole commune has 3 general schools, including: Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School; Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School and Chu Van An Primary - Secondary School.
Total number of students in the 2025-2026 school year (expected) is 963, of which 519 primary school students (27 classes) and 444 secondary school students (14 classes).

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa also added that through surveys and practical forecasts, in the period of 2026-2030, the whole commune is expected to have 1,125 general education students (600 primary school students and 525 secondary school students).
"After studying the Conclusion Notice 81-TB/TW, dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on the policy of building primary and secondary boarding schools in 248 land border communes; implementing the guidance of the Department of Education and Training, the locality reviewed and surveyed the field. From there, two options were proposed: Building new on vacant land and renovating, upgrading and expanding Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School," said Mr. Hoa.
However, if new construction is carried out on vacant land in village 11 (adjacent to the Commune People's Committee), the entire planned area of 5 hectares will be used for planning office buildings, sports land, cultural houses and residential land (auction). The locality needs to
Provincial People's Committee allows planning adjustment.
Meanwhile, the renovation, upgrading and expansion of Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School will save costs and reduce public investment. "Currently, this school is only 1.4 hectares. To expand according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, we must take land planned for the construction of a police headquarters and auction it (residential land). The total estimated cost of the auction for socio-economic development for the locality is nearly 10 billion VND. However, for the future of our children, the commune accepts to "sacrifice" economic benefits to invest in education," Mr. Hoa affirmed.
