Building a rich and beautiful city from green models among the people

On the morning of October 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu An Ward (HCMC) held the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates of the Ward, term 2025 - 2030.

During the past term, the emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have made new strides, focusing on residential areas with many innovative approaches. Many effective models have been developed, mobilizing the potential, creativity, and voluntary participation of all strata of the people.

Over the past five years, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and the Front Work Committee of the neighborhood have registered and managed 20 civilized, green, clean, and beautiful streets and alleys.

One of the effective models in building a civilized urban area that the Fatherland Front of the ward has implemented is the "Road of Collective Effort and Unity" model, which has been in operation from 2023 to the present.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City provides support for social welfare activities to Phu An ward.

The Congress also set out six key tasks for the new term. These include focusing on propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people, strengthening social consensus, and promoting the strength of national unity. It also emphasizes encouraging all sectors of the population to actively participate in emulation, innovation, and creativity in socio-economic development, national construction, and defense. Furthermore, it stresses promoting the people's role as masters and their spirit of self-governance, building united, prosperous, and happy residential areas.

The Congress elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu An Ward for the 2025-2030 term with 55 members. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha was elected as the Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu An Ward.

Speaking at the congress, Comrade Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union, suggested that officials working in the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations need to cultivate and improve their technological skills and learn from the best practices of other localities. To enhance work efficiency, it is necessary to cultivate technological skills, focus on the application of digital technology and digital transformation in a synchronized manner in operations, including both innovating content and methods of operation and applying digital technology to their work.

This requires a shift in mindset, the cultivation of knowledge and skills to adapt to new requirements and tasks. Each member organization must promote proactiveness and coordinate smoothly according to the general regulations. All activities must be in-depth, effective, and bring satisfaction to the people, members, and affiliates.

Phu An Ward covers an area of ​​nearly 37 ^square kilometers and has a population of over 53,900. The ward was established by merging the entire area and population of Phu An commune, Tan An ward, and some neighborhoods of Hiep An ward.
