At noon on March 12th, a truck unexpectedly caught fire on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, in the section passing through Long Thanh district (Dong Nai province), causing traffic congestion in the area.

According to initial information, at nearly 12 PM, a truck with license plate 62H-061.X was traveling on the highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai when, upon reaching Km18+400, the driver noticed smoke rising from the cabin.

The driver immediately stopped the car and used a fire extinguisher to try to put out the fire, but without success. Within minutes, the flames intensified, engulfing the entire front of the vehicle.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Dong Nai province dispatched specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to control the fire.

After about 15 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished. However, the truck's cabin was burned to the ground, leaving only the metal frame.

The incident caused a traffic jam stretching nearly 5km on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway in the direction of Dong Nai. Authorities quickly regulated traffic and organized the removal of vehicles.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the authorities.
