Handling the subject spreading the news "10th grade exam questions leaked, must be replaced at 5am"

According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Xuan Hai, Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Department, Hanoi City Police on June 18, immediately after the information about the literature exam being leaked online in the recent Hanoi 10th grade high school entrance exam, the police agency investigated and verified to clarify that the information was false.

After verification, the authorities will assess the level of violation to take action according to the provisions of law.

Responding further to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Hai said that the information about the leaked 10th grade entrance exam questions was verified to have two groups: " Hanoi students" and the "Companion..." group.

However, in cases where the information is spread by students, the identity of the students will be kept during the processing, but the source of the information must still be traced.

Some other cases, after verification, will be handled to warn social network users who spread false information.

Regarding the upcoming high school graduation exam, Mr. Hai said that the city police have developed a plan to ensure security and safety for the exam. Districts, towns and cities have assigned forces to protect the areas where exam papers are printed and transported to safe testing locations.

The industry has also trained teachers in charge of exam invigilation on how to detect candidates who intentionally hide cheating devices.

At the inspection of the high school graduation exam in Hanoi on the morning of June 18, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong requested that the Hanoi City Examination Steering Committee continue to review the preparation work for this year's exam to ensure safety and thoroughness, paying special attention to the preservation of exam questions and papers; proactively having backup plans in case of unexpected situations.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong noted that the Hanoi City Examination Steering Committee pays special attention to the examination supervision and grading process in accordance with regulations and ensuring safety.

Seriously accepting the direction of the National Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha affirmed that, with a spirit of not being subjective, Hanoi will carefully review all conditions for organizing the exam; predict unusual situations to proactively have timely handling plans, ensuring the best interests of candidates.

The whole city has nearly 109,000 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2024. Hanoi has arranged more than 4,500 exam rooms at 196 exam locations; mobilized more than 15,000 officials, teachers, and employees to participate in exam supervision, not to mention security and inspection forces.

The Hanoi Youth Union has mobilized nearly 5,000 volunteers to support candidates. The city police have directed relevant forces to deploy plans to ensure security and safety before and during the exam.

Dan Tri reported earlier that on the evening of June 8, after candidates in Hanoi completed the 10th grade entrance exam in literature and foreign language, social networks were abuzz with information about the leaked literature exam.

According to an account posted on the Zalo group, the original literature exam was expected to be from Bang Viet's work "Fireplace", an essay about courage. "Due to the leak, at 5am on June 8, before the literature exam, the entire exam was replaced with a new one, including math and English," this account wrote.

Responding to Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the information on social networks is completely inaccurate.

"The test-making process is very strict, with strict security protection. Especially for the test-making council, the security process is even tighter according to regulations, "no one can go in or out".

After being compiled, the exam papers are carefully studied by the exam council after being officially announced. The official papers are printed and transported to the districts by security forces on the same day. All places where exam papers are stored are guarded by security forces and have surveillance cameras.

Therefore, the rumors on social networks about the leaked exam questions are completely inaccurate, causing public confusion," said the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Immediately afterwards, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent a document to the Hanoi City Police.

According to this department, the information spread above is not true, causing confusion in public opinion, affecting the organization of the 2024-2025 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi.

On that basis, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests to verify and clarify the above information and take strict measures according to the provisions of law.
