The delegation from the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases visited the health status of the students before and at present; learned more about related epidemiological factors; directly checked the medical records of the students, and listened to the leaders of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Health and Thai Nguyen Central Hospital report on the contents related to the cases.
At the meeting, the Head of the Delegation and members of the delegation of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases affirmed: The health of 11 students of Thai Nguyen Industrial College who are being treated at Thai Nguyen Central Hospital is stable and can be discharged in the next 1-2 days.
The test results of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for the samples were not positive for diphtheria and meningitis. The working group of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases has not confirmed that the cases are related to infectious diseases.
Authorities recommend that Thai Nguyen Industrial College continue to prepare the best conditions to ensure safety when welcoming students back to study and live as planned.
