150 contestants advance to the finals of the international classical music competition in Ho Chi Minh City.

Pianist Nguyen Bich Tra and cellist Phan Do Phuc, under the direction of conductor Tran Nhat Minh and the Saigon Festival Orchestra, will perform in the Gala Concert - Grand Opus Performing Competition (GOPC) 2025 at The Global City (Do Xuan Hop Street, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) on July 27th.

The event is an artistic highlight within the framework of the GOPC 2025 competition, a professional platform for young classical music talents from many countries and territories.

This year, GOPC expanded its competition to include violin and cello, in addition to piano, and held preliminary rounds in a number of locations such as mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, etc., attracting nearly 1,000 international contestants. The 150 best contestants will advance to the final round, which will take place from July 24th to August 2nd at The Global City, Ho Chi Minh City.

The unique highlight that has made GOPC famous is the Orchestra Final – a performance round featuring two symphony orchestras with over 80 veteran artists, under the direction of international conductors, offering a rare opportunity for young talents to perform on a professional stage.
