Asia's largest agricultural machinery exhibition, Agritechnica Asia 2025, is currently taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, offering business opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises.

On the morning of March 12th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the German Agricultural Association (DLG - Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , organized the international event Agritechnica Asia 2025 with the main theme "Green Initiatives".
This year's event focuses on green innovation by promoting agricultural products, processes, and models designed to address major challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and competitive market pressures. Additionally, 20 satellite programs and events will provide a multifaceted perspective on policy, science , and production practices, fostering improved productivity and environmental responsibility.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, highly appreciated the organization of Agritechnica Asia 2025. This activity will promote innovation, creativity, and exchange between producers, distributors, farmers, and organizations applying mechanization in agricultural production and business. This is also one of the important solutions that the agricultural sector has identified as needing to be implemented in the coming time to move towards a green, modern, and sustainable agricultural sector.
“Agritechnica Asia 2025, themed ‘Promoting Green Initiatives in Southeast Asia,’ is an important event for experts, producers, farmers, and investors to connect, learn, and promote sustainable agricultural initiatives to adapt to the constantly changing conditions of agricultural production and business due to climate change and market changes,” said Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam.
Mr. Tran Thanh Nam also hoped that this event would not only raise awareness among businesses and farmers about the importance of applying technology to production to increase productivity and value, but also promote sustainable agricultural development. At the same time, it would encourage creativity and innovation in agriculture, opening up opportunities for the development of talent and intellect.

According to the organizers, Agritechnica Asia 2025 this year brings together leading manufacturers of sustainable agricultural machinery. Therefore, it will be an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to access modern and advanced agricultural machinery and technologies from around the world, while also gaining knowledge and experience to develop a green and sustainable agriculture.
The event focused on Vietnam's key agricultural sectors, including rice, sugarcane, corn, food crops, coffee, and fruit. It attracted participation from over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries and thousands of experts from across the agricultural value chain.
Furthermore, the event provides a dynamic platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation, connecting domestic and international stakeholders to shape the future of Southeast Asian agriculture. The program is designed around four main themes: Sustainable land use and mechanization; The integration of global and local approaches; Next-generation agriculture; and Innovation in practice.

Notably, Agritechnica Asia 2025 will take place concurrently with HortEx Vietnam – the leading exhibition for the professional horticulture and floriculture industry. Through this combination, the series of events promises to become a comprehensive platform for producers, suppliers, and farmers to access advanced agricultural technologies, contributing to the promotion of innovation and sustainable development for the agricultural sector.
Beyond connecting stakeholders, Agritechnica Asia 2025 is committed to delivering tangible benefits to farmers and advanced cooperatives. In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the organizers arranged a special tour on the first day for over 300 farmers from surrounding areas, providing them with access to cutting-edge technologies and practical solutions for production.
The event will take place from now until March 14, 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7).
