The ASEAN Economic Forum 2025 was held in Singapore from August 15-17, with the theme "ASEAN Economic Integration in the Age of Growth". This is an annual forum and a strategic bridge between businesses in the region, creating favorable conditions to expand investment cooperation, technology transfer, and at the same time promote intra-bloc economic connectivity in the context of globalization and digital transformation. The program is held in rotation in different countries, bringing together hundreds of businesses from Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, in diverse fields such as finance, banking, insurance, oil and gas, digital transformation, electronics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, high-tech agriculture, culture, tourism, services, healthcare, import and export, and logistics.
This year's forum has a special significance, marking 30 years since Vietnam officially joined ASEAN (July 28, 1995 - July 28, 2025). This is not only an important historical milestone but also an opportunity to look back on Vietnam's integration journey full of efforts, courage and aspirations to rise in the regional community. Vietnam-ASEAN economic and trade relations have developed remarkably, both in breadth and depth. The forum is a channel for connecting, exchanging information, creating opportunities for learning and cooperation between economic experts, policy makers and businesses. From there, it helps to develop strategies and development policies that adapt to the new situation and create opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to affirm their position in the regional market, seek partners, promote trade and investment.
