The Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Collective Economy implements tasks for 2024.

This afternoon, February 20th, the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Collective Economy held a meeting to assess the situation of collective economic development in 2023 and implement key tasks for 2024. Mr. Ha Sy Dong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Collective Economy, chaired the meeting.

In 2023, the cooperative movement saw significant progress. Many new models, high-tech applications, and effective joint ventures and partnerships brought numerous benefits to members. In addition, support resources for cooperatives were also prioritized and facilitated by various levels and sectors. The Provincial Cooperative Union continued to effectively fulfill its role as the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Cooperative Economy.

Accordingly, in coordination with 9 branches of the Cooperative Union in districts, towns, and cities, over 30 sessions were organized to disseminate legal information to members and workers in cooperatives, with over 800 participants. Support and guidance were provided to more than 30 cooperatives on new establishment, resolving difficulties in accessing tax policies, land, and trade promotion, etc.

In particular, in 2023, the Provincial Cooperative Support Fund provided advice, guidance, and disbursed loans to 27 projects with a total disbursement amount of 9.45 billion VND; outstanding loans totaled 14.5 billion VND.

To date, the province has 1,981 cooperative groups, 341 cooperatives, and 2 cooperative unions with 82,256 members. The average revenue in 2023 reached nearly 407 million VND per cooperative group, and 1.3 billion VND per cooperative.

During the year, 16 new cooperatives were established, 13 temporarily ceased operations, 2 were dissolved, and 1 was converted to a different type of cooperative. Many new cooperatives were established in mountainous areas, especially in Dakrong district.

Several new cooperative models, cooperative groups, and farms linked to safe and high-economic-value agricultural product value chains, as well as models for linking agricultural production and consumption between businesses and farmers through cooperatives, have been formed.

During the meeting, many opinions focused on evaluating, analyzing, and identifying existing shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, and obstacles in the process of innovation, development, and improving the efficiency of the cooperative economic sector in the area; proposing plans for consolidating, consolidating, and merging cooperatives; plans for training and developing young human resources to manage cooperatives with quality; and methods to support cooperatives in quality certification, brand building, and trademark development.

At the same time, key tasks for 2024 were outlined to focus on implementation, guiding the development and effective operation of the cooperative economic movement in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ha Sy Dong, directed all levels and sectors, especially members of the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Cooperative Economy at the provincial and district levels, to take more decisive and coordinated action. This includes regularly monitoring and closely understanding newly arising issues, difficulties, and obstacles faced by cooperatives and cooperative groups in the area, in order to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to support and create favorable conditions for the development of the cooperative economy.

The Provincial Cooperative Union continues to advise the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Cooperative Economy on operational plans, policies, and guidelines, especially the implementation of the 2023 Cooperative Law; and organizes forums and policy dialogues for each sector to promptly grasp the situation, provide advice, and guide the resolution of difficulties for the grassroots level.

Strengthen the dissemination and promotion of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws related to the market economy; promptly commend advanced models in the field of the market economy for learning and replication.

Departments, agencies, localities, and members of the Steering Committee, based on their functions and responsibilities, should uphold their duties and improve the effectiveness of their activities to support and empower the province's collective economic movement to develop and grow stronger in the era of international economic integration.
