At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department reported on the situation and results of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption in 2024; and the direction, tasks, and some key work contents for 2025. The members of the Steering Committee discussed, provided feedback, and clarified any obstacles or emerging issues.

According to the assessment, in 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Waste Management promptly led and directed Party committees at all levels, sectors, and localities to synchronously implement tasks and solutions to prevent and combat corruption and negative practices in all fields, following the guidance of the Central Internal Affairs Commission. Members of the Steering Committee implemented and completed 20 out of 20 assigned tasks. Focus was placed on inspecting and auditing sensitive areas prone to corruption and negative practices, and areas of public concern such as healthcare, education, bidding, and auctions. The Committee advised the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the effective implementation of conclusions from meetings of the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negative practices; and intensified the investigation, prosecution, and trial of corruption and negative practice cases. Coordination among judicial agencies became increasingly smooth, effective, and close, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The organization promptly implemented the Politburo 's regulations on controlling power in the fight against corruption and embezzlement in various fields. As a result, during the year, the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Corruption and Embezzlement monitored, directed, and focused on accelerating the resolution of all 4 cases and 2 incidents under its supervision. In addition, the entire province widely organized political study sessions on the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and embezzlement, contributing to building a cleaner and stronger Party and State" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; and successfully organized the competition "Understanding the Party's regulations and the State's laws on the prevention and control of corruption and embezzlement" in 2024…
In his directive speech outlining key tasks for 2025, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Waste Prevention to continue strengthening the monitoring, supervision, and guidance of information dissemination, propaganda, and legal education on the Party's policies and State laws regarding anti-corruption, waste prevention, and waste prevention; to review, implement, and complete the objectives and requirements of the leadership and guidance documents from the Central Government and the province. He also called for the serious and effective implementation of the 2025 anti-corruption, waste prevention, and waste prevention program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Strengthening the fight against corruption and waste, focusing on the decline in ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle among cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees; emphasizing self-inspection and supervision of manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation." Directing the strengthening of inspection, supervision, and auditing in areas, localities, and activities where corruption, waste, and negative practices arise, as well as prominent issues causing public and local concern; focusing on leadership, direction, and organization of implementation regarding basic construction investment, state budget management, procurement, management and use of public assets, mineral resources, and power control; improving the quality and organization of the review of socio- economic inspections and audits. Strengthening specialized inspections, public service inspections, and the inspection of compliance with the law and handling of administrative violations by organizations and individuals in specialized fields. Emphasis should be placed on directing the practice of saving and combating waste. Supervision, urging, and handling of the implementation of inspection conclusions, complaint resolution decisions, and conclusions on the content of denunciations should be strengthened according to regulations. Strict implementation of Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2017, of the Prime Minister on rectifying inspection and examination activities for enterprises should be strengthened. Proactive monitoring and review of complex, protracted cases and incidents of public concern involving officials, civil servants, and Party members should be addressed promptly and effectively according to regulations. The effectiveness of propaganda and education on integrity, corruption, waste, and negative practices should continue to be promoted and enhanced, creating a strong ripple effect in society. The media and press actively and extensively publicized the work of combating corruption, waste, and the thoughts and views of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on this work, affirming the determination, continuous and unwavering commitment, and persistent struggle against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena of General Secretary To Lam. This created a widespread impact in society, further strengthening the trust and unity of cadres, Party members, and the people in the Party and State's determination to fight corruption, waste, and negative phenomena.
