This morning, January 7th, the Internal Affairs Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize the work on internal affairs, anti-corruption and anti-negative practices (PCTNTC), and judicial reform (CCTP) in 2024, and to implement tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; the Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Ly Kieu Van; the Chairwoman of the Provincial Inspection Committee, Ho Thi Thu Hang; and the Deputy Director of the Local Affairs Department II, Central Internal Affairs Committee, Dang Thi My Ngoc.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department in 2024.
After analyzing the causes of the achievements as well as the requirements in the field of internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-waste, and anti-negative practices, and the work of judicial reform in 2025, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, requested the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department to closely follow the leadership of the Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Anti-Waste, and Negative Practices, and the actual situation of the locality, to unite and strive to perform the assigned tasks well, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

The report of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department clearly states that in 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department actively advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform on leading the implementation of internal affairs, anti-corruption, and judicial reform tasks, achieving many important results.
The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee Office, advised the Provincial Party Secretary on receiving citizens, and also monitored and urged relevant agencies and units to implement the conclusions from these citizen reception sessions to report to the Provincial Party Secretary. In addition, it coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee Office to receive 61 citizens who came to the Provincial Party Committee headquarters to file complaints, denunciations, feedback, and suggestions.
The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department participated in the monthly citizen reception on the 25th of each month organized by the Provincial People's Committee, receiving 279 petitions, of which 232 were forwarded by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, 46 were received by the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, and 1 was received during the citizen reception session of the Provincial Party Secretary. It also advised the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption on receiving and handling 45 petitions related to various cases.
After receiving and classifying the petitions, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee Office and relevant agencies, advises the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee on timely handling and resolution of petitions in accordance with regulations; proactively works with relevant agencies and units to verify complex and protracted petitions, periodically urges their resolution, and compiles reports for the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee as required.

The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to issue the 2024 inspection and supervision program covering internal affairs, anti-corruption, and judicial reform.
The Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention of the province advised on the implementation of 1 inspection and 3 supervisions according to Program No. 05 dated January 26, 2024; advised the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention to conduct 2 supervisions, and the Committee also completed 3 supervisions according to Inspection and Supervision Program No. 09 dated January 29, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department.
The Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption implemented a review of socio-economic inspection conclusions and recommendations from the State Audit Office for the period 2022-2023, thereby requiring the recovery and remittance of over 2.1 billion VND to the state budget.
The Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department also successfully completed tasks such as appraisal and verification work, coordination and implementation of the duties of the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention, the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, and other tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Board, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Crime Prevention.
The conference devoted most of its time to discussing and identifying the causes of achievements as well as existing shortcomings and limitations, and setting out key tasks for 2025. In particular, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department advised the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena to direct relevant agencies to improve the quality and accelerate the investigation, prosecution, and trial of key, complex cases that attract public attention, as well as corruption and economic cases.
Directing the timely handling of complex issues related to political security and social order arising in the province; reviewing complex cases that attract public attention and placing them under the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena.

In recognition of their achievements, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department awarded certificates of commendation to 19 individuals and 10 collectives for their outstanding performance in advising on internal affairs, combating corruption and negative practices, and judicial reform in 2024.
