SEA Games 33 Medal Standings: Vietnam is the fourth delegation to win a gold medal.

Vietnam won its first gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, becoming the fourth Vietnamese sports delegation to win gold at this year's Games.

Specifically, host nation Thailand won 7 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. Myanmar came in second with 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals. The Philippines (1 gold medal, 3 bronze medals) is currently in third place on the medal table.

The Vietnamese sports delegation has currently won 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals. However, the medal ranking from the organizing committee has only been updated to include 3 bronze medals. If the ranking is updated to include 1 silver and 4 bronze medals, the Vietnamese sports delegation will move up to 5th place.

The 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9 to 20 at three main venues: Chonburi, Bangkok and Songkhla. This Games is expected to have about 9,366 athletes participating, competing in 50 sports.
