Election of 3 additional members to the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026

At the 16th (special) session held this morning (August 17), the 11th Provincial People's Council conducted personnel work within its authority.

Specifically, through a secret ballot, 100% of the provincial People's Council delegates present at the meeting unanimously elected three additional members to the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam - Director of the Department of Transport; Mr. Tran Sinh Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan Thang - Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Previously, 100% of the provincial People's Council delegates present at the meeting unanimously voted to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Tan Le - former Director of the Department of Transport, from his position as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, due to being assigned to another job by the competent authority, and Mr. Phan Doan Thai - former Director of the Department of Education and Training, due to retirement.

According to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, after a working session conducted in a positive, expeditious, and responsible manner, the Provincial People's Council has completed all the planned agenda items.

As a result, the Provincial People's Council passed eight important resolutions aimed at promptly organizing the implementation of socio-economic development projects, allocating public investment funds and funds for national target programs, and meeting the requirements for managing the province's socio-economic development.

This includes a Resolution approving the investment plan for upgrading Thu Khoa Huan Street (section from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ke Bridge), Phan Thiet City. This is a main road within Phan Thiet City, connecting the city center to the Mui Ne National Tourist Area. Currently, the traffic volume on this route is very high, the asphalt road surface is degraded and uneven; the electrical wires, fiber optic cables, and telecommunications cables are haphazardly hung; and the sidewalks and drainage system have not been invested in comprehensively, leading to flooding during the rainy season, affecting traffic safety and detracting from urban aesthetics…

In his closing remarks at the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that the resolutions just passed by the Provincial People's Council at the session are very important and have a great impact on socio-economic development and the lives of the people.

The Provincial People's Council requests the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to seriously implement the resolution from the initial stages of dissemination and investment preparation so that projects and works can be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency. Simultaneously, it requests the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, its committees, working groups, and representatives to strengthen supervision, promptly identify shortcomings and inadequacies, and propose solutions to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to ensure the most effective implementation of the resolutions.
