Electing 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021

At the 16th session (special session) held this morning (August 17), the 11th Provincial People's Council conducted personnel work under its authority.

Specifically, by secret ballot, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates attending the meeting unanimously elected 3 additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam - Director of the Department of Transport; Mr. Tran Sinh Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan Thang - Director of the Departmentof Education and Training.

Previously, 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates attending the meeting voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Tan Le - former Director of the Department of Transport from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term, on the grounds that he was assigned other work by the competent authority, and Mr. Phan Doan Thai - former Director of the Department of Education and Training, on retirement.

According to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, after a working session with a positive, urgent and responsible spirit, the Provincial People's Council completed all the contents of the proposed program.

As a result, the Provincial People's Council passed 8 important resolutions to promptly organize the implementation of socio -economic development projects and works, allocate public investment capital and capital to implement national target programs, and meet the requirements of socio-economic development management of the province.

Including the Resolution on Approving the investment policy for the project to upgrade Thu Khoa Huan Street (from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ke Bridge), Phan Thiet City. This is the main road in Phan Thiet City, connecting the city center to Mui Ne National Tourist Area. Currently, the traffic volume on the route is very large, the current state of the asphalt road surface has degraded and is bumpy; the system of electric wires, optical cables, and telecommunications is tangled; the sidewalk and drainage system have not been invested synchronously, leading to flooding in the rainy season, affecting traffic safety and losing the urban beauty...

Speaking at the closing session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed that the resolutions just passed by the Provincial People's Council at the session are very important, having a great impact on socio-economic development and people's lives.
