On the occasion of preparing for the traditional Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, on the afternoon of January 29th, Comrade Do Trong Hung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, inspected the production situation and people's lives in Thanh Hoa City. Also participating were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and Le Anh Xuan, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Council.

Working with key leaders of Thanh Hoa City, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung stated: In 2023, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, Thanh Hoa province still achieved many important results in socio -economic development and ensured national defense and security. The Party Committee, government, people of all walks of life, and the business community of Thanh Hoa City made significant contributions to these overall achievements.

Highly appreciating the efforts of the entire political system of Thanh Hoa City in carrying out tasks, especially in preparing for the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the leaders of Thanh Hoa City to continue to strictly and effectively implement the Directives of the Central Government and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on organizing the Lunar New Year celebration; ensuring that the people of the city celebrate the New Year in a safe, joyful, healthy, economical, and meaningful atmosphere.

Regarding future tasks, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The tasks for 2024 and 2025 in successfully achieving the goals of the Party Congress at all levels are very challenging. Given its role and position as the political, economic, cultural, and scientific center of the entire province, the Party Committee, government, people of all levels, and business community of Thanh Hoa City need to make even greater efforts; unite as one, maximize self-reliance and self-improvement, and take full advantage of support from the Central Government, the province, and all levels and sectors to successfully implement the resolutions of the City Party Committee and the City People's Council from the very first months and quarters of 2024; creating important conditions for the successful achievement of the political goals and tasks set forth.

Visiting and encouraging Ms. Le Thi Hue in Quang Chau ward, Sam Son city, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung shared his thoughts with Ms. Hue – a former top athlete who, more than 20 years ago, made initial contributions to the national sports scene. However, during training and competition, she unfortunately suffered a spinal injury that left her legs paralyzed. Currently, all her daily activities depend on her elderly mother, who is over 80 years old, for care.
