The Vietnam Card Day 2025 event series, directed by the State Bank of Vietnam and jointly organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and the Vietnam National Payment Corporation (NAPAS), will take place from September 26th to October 26th, 2025. With the theme "One Touch, a Thousand Trusts - Building the Future of Digital Payments," the event further affirms the spirit of innovation, creativity, and breakthroughs in the digital era of the banking industry in general, and BIDV in particular.
The event aims to popularize cashless payments, making them more accessible to a wide range of customers, while also promoting smart, safe, and modern spending habits in society. This is also a practical activity contributing to the realization of Government Resolution 57 on promoting digital payments, laying the foundation for new advancements in finance and technology in the future.

As part of a series of events, the thematic workshop on October 7th brought together strategic perspectives on the future of digital payments in Vietnam. The workshop consisted of two discussion sessions, focusing on modern payment technology trends, transaction security, and building digital trust in a cashless society. Leading experts in finance, banking, and technology shared their experiences, analyzed challenges, and proposed practical solutions to promote comprehensive digital transformation.

At the seminar, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Nhan - Director of BIDV's Card and Operations Center - represented the bank in sharing about the importance of digital payments - one of the breakthrough innovation areas, playing a "lifeline" role in promoting the digital economy , e-commerce, and inclusive finance.
Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Nhan stated: “From a simple payment tool, bank cards have now become a means of identification and connection within the digital ecosystem – where money, data, and utilities flow together. This ecosystem comprises five groups of entities: the government and regulatory agencies – creating the legal framework and data infrastructure; banks and financial institutions – the backbone of the payment system; card organizations and payment intermediaries – partnering in technological innovation; businesses and retailers – connecting consumers; and finally, consumers – the center of all innovation. ”
With a customer-centric philosophy, BIDV and other banks have continuously innovated, expanded services, and enhanced customer experience. However, alongside these conveniences comes an increase in high-tech crime. In the AI era, attack methods such as skimming, shimming, and NFC relay are constantly emerging, requiring banks to proactively defend themselves. BIDV has chosen a "prevention over reaction" approach, assessing risks from the product design stage, focusing on developing non-physical cards, encrypting card information on Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets, implementing 3D Secure multi-factor authentication, complying with PCI DSS standards, and applying AI and ML in real-time monitoring of suspicious transactions to detect and prevent fraud early. At the same time, the bank focuses on raising user awareness and providing tools for self-monitoring and locking/unlocking transactions on BIDV SmartBanking...
“ Only when the government, banks, businesses, and consumers act together can the payment ecosystem truly be secure. For BIDV, digital transformation is not just about technology, but about a commitment to bringing trust and security to every transaction,” emphasized Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Nhan.
Previously, as part of the Vietnam Card Day 2025 events, Mr. Dang Van Tuyen - Member of the BIDV Board of Directors - represented the bank at the press conference announcing Vietnam Card Day 2025, held on September 26th. On October 2nd at Hanoi University of Technology, representatives from the Retail Products Department, Card and Operations Center of BIDV participated in a career guidance seminar titled "Protecting Personal Finances - Mastering Money," contributing to the dissemination of financial knowledge to the community and affirming BIDV's vision of accompanying the younger generation in mastering their financial future.

BIDV will continue to accompany and spread the message "One Touch - A Thousand Trusts," inspiring the youthful, dynamic, and pioneering spirit of young people in the digital transformation journey in Vietnam.
