To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Women's Union of Thanh Hoa province enthusiastically organized many activities to express gratitude, including cultural, artistic, and sports events, aiming to uphold the national tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" and express profound gratitude for the sacrifices of our ancestors for the independence and freedom of the country.

Members of Hop Ly commune (Trieu Son district) recreated the traditional handcart – a vehicle used by civilian laborers from Thanh Hoa province during the Dien Bien Phu campaign – and paraded it along the main roads.
Notably, many Women's Union branches organized sports exchanges and folk dance performances set to the medley of songs: "Through the Northwest Region," "Victory at Dien Bien Phu," and "Inh La Oi," initiated by the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; parades along the main roads of communes, wards, and towns with banners, traditional flags, and pennants... creating a vibrant atmosphere and amplifying national pride.

This activity not only contributes to improving the spiritual life and health of the people in general, and women in particular, but also awakens and spreads pride in the glorious achievements of previous generations in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

At the grassroots level, the work of disseminating information to all levels of the Women's Union, cadres, members, women, and all segments of the population about the significance, scale, and great historical value of the Dien Bien Phu victory; and about the important role and contributions of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa in the Dien Bien Phu campaign has been intensified.

The Women's Union of Hai Hoa ward presented packages of medicinal herbs and milk to 60 female former Youth Volunteers and civilian workers on the front lines.

The Women's Union of Cam Yen commune (Cam Thuy district) collaborated to launch a national flag street.

Many branches of the Association in Thach Thanh district participated in sports exchanges with great enthusiasm.
Some exemplary units organized meaningful activities, such as: the Women's Union of Ba Dinh ward (Bim Son town) and Hop Ly commune (Trieu Son district) parading on main roads; the Women's Union of Cam Yen commune (Cam Thuy district) launching a flag-lined road; the Women's Union of Hai Hoa ward (Nghi Son town) presenting gifts to express gratitude to former female Youth Volunteers and female civilian workers on the front lines....

These commemorative activities have contributed to promoting the spirit of national unity, beautifying the glorious history of the nation, and encouraging and motivating cadres, members, women, and all strata of the people to strive and overcome difficulties to successfully complete the assigned goals and tasks.
