Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Ngo Quoc Dat, the school's principal, emphasized that 2025 marks a special milestone with many important political events nationwide.
"This is not only an opportunity to recall our glorious traditions, but also for each of us to better define our responsibilities in developing education and especially in training high-quality medical personnel, a key resource for the sustainable development of the country," the principal shared.
Mr. Dat stated that, regarding the academic results for the 2024-2025 school year, the school currently has 11,217 students enrolled, with the following percentages: excellent 9.4%, good 20.7%, fair 41.6%, average 18.8%, and poor 9.6%.
In 2025, the school had an enrollment quota of 2,576 students, but 17,975 candidates applied for admission. The top student in the entire school was Tran Duc Tai, who was admitted to the General Medicine program with a perfect score of 30 points.

Addressing the teachers and students of the school, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc emphasized: "To become a doctor, one must learn throughout life. I hope that you will study and conduct scientific research to contribute to bringing glory to the country's medical field."
He said that to go far, we must go together; therefore, students should unite, have a spirit of teamwork, and share difficulties during their studies. This is the foundation for our sustainable development together.
The Deputy Minister instructed the teachers that, in addition to imparting specialized knowledge, they also need to impart and train students to contribute to character formation and cultivate medical ethics from the moment they enter the school.

At the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the opening ceremony was marked by many impressive figures in this year's admissions season: Nearly 48% of admitted students had aptitude test scores of 900 points or higher, nearly 21% achieved both 27 points or higher in the high school graduation exam and 900 points or higher in the aptitude test, and more than 3,300 students had internationally recognized English certificates.
According to the school, Ho Chi Minh City continues to have the highest percentage of admitted students with over 3,500, with Mac Dinh Chi High School leading the way. Notably, female students account for approximately one-fifth of the school's total new students.

Professor Mai Thanh Phong, the school's principal, emphasized: "As the world becomes increasingly 'flat,' and artificial intelligence and digital technology become more widespread, life is also changing rapidly, from science and technology to occupations and other aspects of social life."

Even though it was only on screen, the atmosphere was still filled with solemnity and excitement. After the national ceremony, the Vietnam Academy of Dance continued the program with artistic performances by its own talented students.
Students, ranging from talented ballet dancers to passionate folk dancers, delivered graceful and refined performances, an inspiring and enthusiastic welcome to the new academic year. Their dances not only showcased their talent but also reflected the pride and desire of the younger generation to contribute to the art of dance.
