On the morning of September 5, 2025, Canadian International School – Lao Cai (CIS Lao Cai) solemnly held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025 – 2026.


Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Binh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches; leaders of Cam Duong ward, the school's board of directors, teachers, staff and all students and parents.


In the 2025-2026 school year, Canadian International School – Lao Cai welcomes 24 new students to grade 1; this is expected to be a year of innovation, creativity and continuous efforts of the school, aiming to become the leading bilingual boarding school in Southeast Asia.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the school inaugurated a modern dormitory with a capacity of more than 300 students and put the ASA After-School Education Center into operation; this is the first school year that the school has students graduating from the general education program (MOET) and students taking the IGCSE exam (international general secondary school certificate). These milestones affirm the school's efforts in building a comprehensive, modern, humane educational environment with an international orientation.

The school has now applied to join the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Boarding Program according to the standards of the British Boarding Schools Association (BSA).
As a member of the Canadian International School System, the school is steadfast in its mission to provide an advanced, student-centered educational program while preserving Vietnamese cultural identity.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the Continuing Education Center will have more than 1,200 students, including 150 students in grade 10; the training scale is 26 classes, expected to have to teach up to 1,780 students, with 33 classes at 3 locations.
The Center sets a target for the 2025-2026 school year of a high school graduation rate of over 96%, a rate of students advancing directly to the next grade of 85% or more; students winning provincial-level excellent student awards and projects winning awards at provincial-level Science and Technology competitions.

Yen Bai Vocational College is determined to become the leading vocational training institution in the region.
On the morning of September 5, Yen Bai Vocational College held the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year with the participation of delegates and 142 students representing 3,940 students.
This school year is of great significance as Yen Bai College merged into Yen Bai Vocational College, opening up a new step of development to improve training quality, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources according to the policies of the Party and State.

With the orientation of making Yen Bai Vocational College become the leading vocational training institution in the region, in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will have 19 college majors, 27 intermediate majors, 10 elementary majors and short-term training programs of less than 3 months.
The school welcomed more than 1,200 new students, including 17 international students from Laos, contributing to promoting educational cooperation between the two countries.
