Da Nang Port has contributed to facilitating import and export activities for businesses operating in Da Nang City. It has actively responded to and collaborated with the Da Nang Customs Department in implementing programs, plans, and solutions to support businesses in shortening time and reducing costs. This includes support before, during, and after customs clearance; technical and information technology support; support for inspection procedures; priority allocation of easily accessible loading and unloading areas; reduced warehousing fees; and flexible calculation of storage fees. These practical and effective support activities have contributed to increasing the trust and prestige of the Da Nang Customs Department in fulfilling its commitments to reduce time and costs, facilitating trade for import and export businesses; and improving the investment and business environment of the city. Furthermore, the Da Nang Customs Department acknowledges that Da Nang Port regularly cooperates in exchanging and providing other relevant information related to import and export activities when requested by the customs authorities to improve legal compliance and prevent customs law violations by businesses. Businesses must comply with the law and not abet smuggling, tax evasion, tax fraud, or commercial fraud. The leaders of the Da Nang Customs Department stated that in the coming time, the development of customs-business partnerships will continue to be a focus of the customs sector, with new directions and solutions that are increasingly substantive and in-depth. Accordingly, the customs sector considers businesses as cooperative partners; taking business satisfaction as one of the top criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of customs operations. They will also coordinate and support the dissemination and implementation of programs and plans of the Da Nang Customs Department to the business community. At the December 20th conference of the Da Nang Customs Department, Da Nang Port was one of two enterprises awarded the "Outstanding Collective in Developing Customs-Enterprise Partnership Relations in the Period 2014-2024" commemorative medal by the General Department of Customs. In addition, the General Department of Customs also commended and presented a commemorative medal to Mr. Duong Duc Xuan – Deputy General Director of Da Nang Port – for his outstanding achievements in this area.Vietnam Business Magazine
