In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nguyen Thi Thuong, a student in class 12C1 of Quy Hop III High School, Nghe An province , achieved 27.25 points in the C00 subject group, with 9.25 points in Literature, 8.25 in History, and 9.75 in Geography.
Thuong's twin sister, Nguyen Thi Thao, excelled even more, becoming the valedictorian of the school with a score of 28.5; including 9.5 in Literature, 9.25 in History, and 9.75 in Geography.

“This year’s exam was manageable. My biggest regret is History, which was also the subject I had the highest expectations for. As for Literature, I was a little overwhelmed when I read the questions and couldn’t identify the topic for the essay. However, I managed to regain my composure and complete my paper,” Thuong shared.
Despite their difficult family circumstances, with their parents working as farmers, Thao and Thuong never stopped striving and working hard to improve themselves every day. Throughout their 12 years of schooling, both sisters were excellent students, actively participating in academic competitions and extracurricular activities.

Nguyen Thi Thao, with her dynamism and strong character, won fourth prize in the provincial science and technology competition in the 2023-2024 school year and second prize in history in the 2024-2025 school year. Her younger sister, Nguyen Thi Thuong, although not as outstanding as her sister, also won third prize in economic and legal education at the provincial level.
Sharing about their study methods, Thuong said that both sisters don't attend extra classes but instead absorb knowledge in class and study on their own at home. The two sisters always remind each other to try their best in their studies every day. Outside of school hours, they help their parents with household chores, gardening, and raising livestock.

Nguyen Thi Thuong expressed her desire to study law at Hanoi Law University, while Thao chose to study Literature Education at Vinh University. “Since 10th grade, I’ve loved economics and law education . I dream of becoming a lawyer to help the underprivileged. I want my family, friends, and everyone around me to be respected so that life can be happier,” Thuong said.
Meanwhile, Thao affirmed: "Studying is the only way to change our destiny. Despite the difficulties, we have never thought about giving up."

Mr. Dang Xuan Hiep, Principal of Quy Hop III High School, said that nearly 90% of the students at the school are from ethnic minority groups, and many families are classified as poor or near-poor. In that context, Thao and Thuong's outstanding achievements are considered a bright spot.
“Thao and Thuong are two exceptional students. Their achievements are a vivid testament to the studious spirit of students in mountainous regions. They have overcome the limitations of their circumstances to prove themselves through their abilities and perseverance. This is a source of pride for their families and the school,” Principal Dang Xuan Hiep shared.
