In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nguyen Thi Thuong, a 12th grade student at Quy Hop III High School, Nghe An, scored 27.25 points in block C00 with 9.25 points in Literature; 8.25 points in History and 9.75 points in Geography.
Thuong's twin sister, Nguyen Thi Thao, excelled when she became the school's valedictorian with a score of 28.5; including 9.5 points in Literature, 9.25 in History, and 9.75 in Geography.

“This year’s exam was within my ability. The most regretful subject was History, which was also the subject I had the highest expectations for. As for Literature, when I read the exam questions, I was a bit overwhelmed and couldn’t determine the topic of the essay. However, I tried to calm down and finished my essay,” Thuong shared.
Despite their difficult family circumstances, with their parents working as farmers, Thao and Thuong still tried their best and strived to improve themselves every day. During 12 years of school, both sisters were excellent students, actively participating in competitions for excellent students and mass movements.

Nguyen Thi Thao, with her dynamism and courage, won fourth prize in the provincial Science and Technology Competition in the 2023-2024 school year and second prize in provincial history in the 2024-2025 school year. Her younger sister Nguyen Thi Thuong, although not as outstanding as her sister, also won third prize in the provincial economic and legal education subject.
Sharing about their learning methods, Thuong said that both sisters do not attend extra classes but only absorb knowledge in class and study at home. The two sisters always remind each other to try to study hard every day. After school hours, they help their parents with housework, gardening, and raising livestock.

Female student Nguyen Thi Thuong expressed her desire to study law at Hanoi Law University, while Thao chose to study Literature Pedagogy at Vinh University. “Since grade 10, I have loved economic and legal education . I dream of becoming a lawyer to help the disadvantaged. I want my family, friends, and everyone around me to be respected so that life will be happier,” Thuong said.
Meanwhile, Thao affirmed: “Studying is the only way to change our destiny. Even though it is difficult, we have never thought of giving up.”

Mr. Dang Xuan Hiep, Principal of Quy Hop III High School, said that nearly 90% of the students are ethnic minorities, many of whom are poor or near-poor. In that context, Thao and Thuong's outstanding achievements are considered a bright spot.
“Thao and Thuong are two special students. Their achievements are a living testament to the studious spirit of students in the mountainous region. They have overcome the limitations of conditions and circumstances to assert themselves with their abilities and perseverance. This is the pride of their families and the school,” Principal Dang Xuan Hiep shared.
