Many people discovered a large explosion that blew off the roof and set a house on fire in Ngoc Ly commune, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang, seriously injuring two people, so they reported it to the police.
At 9:10 p.m. on October 23, Tan Yen District Police received a report that at the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (born in 1973, residing in Cau Dong 10 village, Ngoc Ly commune, Tan Yen district), there was a loud explosion that injured Mr. Truong Van Dai (born in 1989), Ms. Ngoc's son, and Ms. La Thi Tinh (born in 1993), Mr. Dai's wife, both residing in Cau Dong 10 village, Ngoc Ly commune, Tan Yen district. They were taken to Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.
The explosion caused part of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc's roof to fly off, her family's bedroom to be burned, and much property to be damaged.
The scene of the incident was recorded by locals and posted on Facebook.
Immediately, Tan Yen District Police organized a crime scene investigation to investigate the cause of the incident.
According to many locals, at that time they heard a loud explosion like a bomb, then fire broke out, lighting up the sky. Many people thought lightning had struck a house.
When approaching the scene and rescuing the victims, many people said that the couple was making homemade firecrackers in the house, leading to the unfortunate incident.
Tan Yen District Police are actively investigating and clarifying the case according to regulations.
