On the evening of September 5, the Vietnam Boxing Federation issued a press release about the 'disappearance' of the VBF President.

The VBF Executive Committee meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on September 5 to announce the results of the previous internal meeting, which took place on September 4.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung – Vice President and General Secretary of VBF will be the official spokesperson for the entire incident. According to a source from VBF, after a period of not being able to contact Mr. Le Tu Bao, a leader of VBF proactively contacted Mr. Bao’s adopted son.

In early August, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung had a direct conversation with Mr. Le Tu Bao. During this conversation, Mr. Bao committed to ensuring funding for VBF activities – which is especially important in the context that VBF does not receive support from the state budget but is completely financially autonomous.
