Police investigate case of two makeup girls whose suitcases were searched by the groom's family on suspicion of taking money

After discovering that 20 million VND was missing on the wedding day, the groom's family kept the two girls who did the bride's makeup to check her belongings and searched her.


On the evening of November 23, Cho Gao District Police, Tien Giang Province, said they were coordinating with local authorities to investigate and verify the case of two girls doing makeup for the bride being detained by the groom's relatives to check their belongings and searched on suspicion of stealing 20 million VND.

The groom's family searched the suitcase and handbag of the two girls who did the bride's makeup.

Previously, on social networks, a story spread that at a wedding in My Tinh An commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang, the homeowner discovered that 20 million VND was missing.

Afterwards, the groom's family detained the two girls who did the bride's makeup to check all her belongings and search her body... on suspicion of stealing the money.

After much arguing and threats, the two girls asked to call the police to resolve the matter, but the family refused because they were having a wedding and did not want to cause any noise.

After about 30 minutes of checking, the family did not find any money, the groom's family apologized to the two girls.

The incident was filmed and posted on Facebook. Many viewers expressed outrage at the uncivilized behavior of the family members attending the wedding.

The case is being verified and clarified by Cho Gao district police in coordination with functional units.
