Petrovietnam Trade Union improves organizational structure, builds qualified team

On November 30, the Trade Union of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam) held the 7th Executive Committee Conference, 8th session.

The conference aims to deploy important preparation steps for the 8th Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, focusing on introducing personnel and collecting comments on the Political Report submitted to the Congress.

At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Ta - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Petrovietnam Trade Union Inspection reported on personnel-related projects to the Congress, including personnel projects for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the Petrovietnam Trade Union for the 8th term, 2025 - 2030; and also reported on the Project of the Petrovietnam Trade Union Delegation to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. The projects were built on the basis of closely following the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the practice of trade union activities at Petrovietnam.

In addition to the personnel introduction, the Conference also solicited comments on the Political Report of the 8th Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. Many dedicated and responsible opinions were raised, focusing on evaluating the results of the implementation of tasks in the past term, and at the same time proposing solutions to improve the effectiveness of trade union activities, better care for the lives, rights and legitimate interests of workers in the entire Group.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Manh Kha - Permanent Vice Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsible and dedicated contributions of the delegates to the Draft Political Report of the 8th Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress. He said that the targets on initiatives and innovations set for 2025 have been completed, reflecting the efforts and effectiveness in trade union activities in the past time. On that basis, in the 2025 - 2030 term, Petrovietnam Trade Union will continue to promote innovation; enhance care for workers' health; improve the quality of union members through training programs, seminars, and training, while strongly innovating the content and methods of trade union activities, meeting the development requirements of the Group in the new period.

At the Conference, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - President of Petrovietnam Trade Union said that up to now, Petrovietnam Trade Union has basically completed the work of preparing personnel for key positions of the new term.

After the Congress, the Group's Trade Union will continue to improve its organizational structure, build a team of qualified trade union officials with the capacity to lead the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the industry in the new development period. In response to the upcoming tasks, the Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union requested the subcommittees to urgently and highly concentrate on the preparation work, ensuring the progress and quality of the Congress.
