The Tò Vò Arch, located on the western side of the main island (one of the two islands belonging to the Lý Sơn Special Economic Zone), features an arch 9 meters long and 2.5 meters high, formed by volcanic eruptions and erosion by sea waves thousands of years ago. It's a popular check-in spot. The name Tò Vò Arch comes from the characteristic shape of the exposed basalt rock arch, resembling a wasp's nest.

According to the monument records, the arch is part of a recognized scenic area with a total protected area of up to 26,000 m² , of which the main gate covers an area of more than 420 m² including the head, tail and arch.
The formation of the Tò Vò Arch is closely linked to the formation of Lý Sơn Island. The island was created by volcanic eruptions tens of millions of years ago. At that time, the main island had five ancient volcanic craters, including Giếng Tiền Mountain.

Experts believe that the eruption of Gieng Tien volcano created a thick layer of basalt at the rock gate. Over time, this basalt layer was broken and eroded by sea waves. Then, as the sea receded, the waves continued to strike, breaking up the weaker, more cohesive layer of rock in the middle, creating the hollow, wasp-nest-like structure we see today.
Along with the main gate's architecture, the area around To Vo Gate is made even more beautiful by the rocky areas located right next to the basalt bedrock. The area surrounding To Vo Gate boasts a diverse ecosystem, with hundreds of marine species and coral reefs.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, To Vo Arch is an important part of the geological and cultural heritage chain in Ly Son, so it is necessary to preserve the stone arch, the stone platform, and the coral reef to prevent damage from nature and human activities. The agency also proposed investing in roads and parking facilities to facilitate tourist visits.
Ly Son Special Economic Zone, located approximately 30 km from the mainland of Quang Ngai province, is a strategically important island historically linked to Vietnam's maritime sovereignty . Ly Son boasts around 50 historical and cultural relics, including six national monuments and two intangible cultural heritage sites. In recent years, the island has become a highlight on the national tourism map. Quang Ngai province aims to develop Ly Son into a national center for marine and island tourism.
